Purchase of new vehicle

In purchasing new vehicle, I met with Andy Pabon, retired Master Chief, USN. I appreciated his no-nonsense approach and attention to detail and efficiency. Some level of disorganization (keys on wrong numbers, inventory not coded correctly) but Andy quickly remedied and mad made sure I was placed with the car i was looking for,

rude salesman. rude manager. i hate subaru now. dont go here. dont give them your real phone number or email.

You have an appointment?! Too bad we're too busy!

Impressively hard to get ahold of anyone at the service desk over the phone. Had a new shortblock installed in my 13' outback. Engine runs fine now and doesn't use oil anymore. However there was a oil leak coming from the right side of the engine. Had to take the car back 4 I'll repeat 4 different times for them to diagnose the leak. At first they said there was no leak, but I knew better because I kept cleaning the oil off and newer oil would reappear. They kept denying there was anything wrong and that the oil was just left over oil from the repair that didn't get cleaned up properly. It was only after my forth visit they realized I wasn't going away and finally made the repair. Just recently I made an appointment through the appointment center for a transmission service. I showed up today for my appointment and they said that they wouldn't be able to complete the service today because they were too busy... then I told the service writer that I had a appointment but he didn't seem to care... I told him not to worry about it and that I go somewhere else from now on for service.

Good luck getting service here.

Making appointment is headache. Good luck getting them to answer phone. I made online stating coming for recalled airbag. Made 8 weeks in advance. Took off work and got call morning of, that they would need to order that and not to come and it would be 6-8weeks for them to get it. I had put off going at all because my last visit there was a 5 hour wait with an appointment to get a new door remote programmed.. Appointment time means nothing but you "get to come" that day, not that your car will be taken care of at that time. Would go ANYWHERE else to avoid this place but afraid they are only place handling recall fixes...act like doing me big favor and I'm getting something free. I'd prefer stuff that didn't have to be recalled and if it did, they'd make it easy.

Friendly and patient experience

I was looking for a new compact SUV and went to several dealerships trying out different vehicles. I took a test drive of a Forester, but wanted to try out different dealers. In short, I was treated nicely my first visit with the test drive. I wasn't hounded while I looked at other places. After trying others and doing research, i decided on the Forester and went back a couple of weeks later. I met up with Adam again. He worked with me to find the vehicle I wanted and worked out a deal. I was pleased with my treatment and how things went. I definitely recommend this Subaru dealer.

Professional

Very professional. Excellent service. Great vehicles available. Left feeling happy with purchase. Easy to make appointments. Very knowledgeable about the car. The car was excellent condition.

Easy trade-in

Very friendly and knowledgeable dealership. Reasonable trade-in with good upfront offer. Didn't need to argue or push back. Entire process was smooth and they helped with all questions. Great customer service as well following up after the purchase.

Purchasing new 2017 Subaru crosstrek

I was in the market for a new car and had already done my research on purchasing the Subaru Crosstrek. Adam, a sales person at Kearny Mesa Subaru, helped me locate my new car and provided a great experience for purchasing my first car. He was very knowledgable in aspects of the car and nice and friendly during the process of purchasing the vehicle. He even gave me a ride from the rental car center near the airport after dropping off my rental car back to the dealer to pick up my new car. It was a pleasant experience and I would do it again.
