Jim Douglas Auto Sales

We purchased our Honda Odyssey a couple of months ago. When my wife and I asked our mechanic about which place I should go to purchase a used vehicle, without hesitation he recommended Jim Douglass. At first, I was a little hesitant and skeptical. My auto mechanic said any vehicles that he has worked on from people who have purchased from Jim Douglass, mechanically, speaking have always been in good working condition. So, we decided to investigate ( after all, mechanics have their dealerships they recommend and dealerships have their mechanics they recommend). When we arrived, we asked about the car we were interested in buying. We were able to take it to our mechanic and get it inspected, get all the car fax info we wanted about it and were able to negotiate a reasonable price. The gentlemen were not trying to hide anything and weren't shady in their business dealings. I was pleased with their honesty displayed and was pretty impressed with how impeccable the cars were for being a used car lot. Thank you for your help and good information. I HAVE BOUGHT SEVERAL CARS HERE AND THEY ARE THE FIRST PLACE I LOOK. THE LAST 2 CARS I BOUGHT THEIR, I CALLED AND TOLD THEM WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR AND WITHIN 1 WEEK THEY CALLED BACK AND HAD 1 FOR ME TO LOOK AT. THEIR PRICE IS ALWAYS FAIR. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM FOR OVER 25 YEARS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE AND HAVE MANY TIMES.

I had a great experience at Jim Douglas Auto Sales. I went there to purchase my first car and was beyond impressed with the customer service I received. Art and Adam made me feel comfortable about my purchase and didn't hesitate to answer any questions I had. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend this dealership to any prospective costumer.

I went there to purchase a used vehicle. Once they negotiated the price with my financing source and submitted the purchase order to her, the payment was still a bit high for my budget. My wife and I, at this point scraped together a small amount of cash to move the payment into my budget. Once they knew that we came up with the cash THEY RAISED THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE. Their reasoning was "If you can come up with cash we can raise the price". "We were at our bottom line when you were not putting cash down". We deserve to make a profit". WOW! That's exactly why Used Car Salesman have a bad reputation. They earn it. Sorry Adam. What you did was wrong. That's not how you retain customers.

I decided on a car late in the day after driving around to many car lots, so things were a bit rushed to conclude the sale & get back to work the next day. My banker (staying late to process my loan) said Adam was one of the most helpful dealers she had spoken to. I called ahead to tell Adam that I was on my way from the bank and he also stayed a bit late so I could take the car home that night.

This is the 4th vehicle our family has purchased from Jim Douglas Auto Sales. In fact, I live in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and have still gone downstate to JDAS which is a good 4 1/2 to 5 hours away. When you can trust someone it is worth the drive.

I purchased a 1989 Cadillac the service was top notch, the sales person was extremely helpful and patient with me as I debated over the purchase of a car from a dealer , as I normally only purchase from private owners - I was pleased with their honesty over the vehicle - I would recommend buy from this dealer - excellent staff love the car

Our experience buying a used vehicle from Jim Douglas Auto Sales was fantastic. From start to finish the salesmen went above the call of duty to make sure that we did not feel pressured and worked with us to make sure we were satisfied with the vehicle we purchased. On a scale of 0 to 10, 10 would not be a high enough rating! Highly recommend this dealership to all if you want honesty and have high expectations!

This was my first time buying from an actual dealership and everything went great! Called on a specific vehicle, by the time I had gotten there after a two and a half hour drive they had everything ready for me. Definitely worth the trip! Customer service was great and the price was by far the best that I could find anywhere!
