"HOMETOWN DEALER - GREAT DEALS - NO HASSLES - WE FINANCE"
I purchased a car for my mother last year. It was an older car with low miles. The vehicle has run well and she has had no issues. In August I purchased... a 2005 Honda with 60000 miles. The vehicle was purchased as is with no warrant. Gladstone Auto Sales had not obligation to repair the car. I drove it only 45 miles and the engine light came on. The dealership was closed and it was a Saturday. I emailed Gladstone. I received an e-mail a few hours later asking me to take the car to a repair shop not far from the dealership and apologized for inconvenience. I dropped the vehicle off on Monday. On Tuesday, the auto repair shop called me to say the car was repaired. Gladstone paid for the repair. Very satisfied with this dealership.
BUYER BEWARE - I give two stars because the woman I worked with was nice and prompt with transaction. Although, she did misrepresent the car. Said no... issues, no windshield chips or scratches, etc. Took her for her word and received the car with smaller sized windshield chips.. not a huge deal with a used car.. but more important.. 10 seconds of driving it realized it had a bad strut.. which equates to $1200 in repairs that must be done for safe driving. DO NOT buy a car from this dealership without thoroughly inspecting it in person. Seems like they buy auction cars, which often have issues like the strut above. They do not make any repairs.. or even inspect them probably.. just shine them up for pictures (Armor All on top of dirt), and flip them to a buyer. I contacted them about the strut issue to see if they would help with some of the repair and received no response.
I had a really good buying experience at this location and would recommend it to anyone. My sales person Kyle Kolbe was fabulous and i love my car
Reasonable priced used good quality vehicles... Friendly staff. Ruth was amazing had me approved and on my way in little time... I recommend this place... to anyone..
Found a 1989 GMC Jimmy listed at just over $5,000 with a bit over 57,000 miles. This seemed strange for it to be so low on mileage given the year so we... contacted the dealership for more information. We learned it had been owned by the Kansas Department of Corrections and used at one of the prisons. Knowing how well the Department of Corrections takes care of vehicles we decided to go check it out. We contacted the dealership to let them know we were coming (3-hour drive) and to get some more information. We were assured the vehicle was in great condition and drove well. Upon arrival, we noticed the vehicle was rusted out and would need a new paint job due to peeling paint and hail damage. The rust was not visible on any of the photos but was so rusted that it was not possible it was new. In fact, when we looked inside we found the floorboard to be rusted out. The back window did not go all the way up and it was clear the vehicle had not been cleaned (we were told the dealership obtained it in October 2018 - 7 months before we came to look at it). The worst issue, however, was finding all the maintenance records in the center console. RIGHT ON THE FRONT OF THE FOLDER, it said to at 62,000 miles to the odometer due to engine replacement. The paperwork in the folder when back to 2005 and had mileage listed in excess of what the odometer showed. The vehicle itself actually has over 120,000 miles on it. The salesman acted shocked and called his boss. They said in all the time they had it they never looked in the center console and had no idea. Keep in mind that one of the papers in the folder was from the auction where they bought this vehicle and the rearview mirror which was listed in the vehicle description was actually in the center console. They "now know" about the mileage issue but the vehicle is still on their website listed at having 57,000 miles and no mention of a new engine. They also don't mention that they had to replace the gas tank and fuel pump. We found out about those when the salesman let it slip they had done that work to get it running. This is a lemon and it's clear Gladstone knows it. I would never trust them for any vehicle.
