Great Experience!
I would highly recommend AutoMember to anyone! I am from Richmond Va. and found the exact vehicle I was looking for at AutoMember through Cars.com. I contacted AutoMember and Jay replied immediately. We then exchanged a number of texts and calls throughout the week and I arranged to test drive the vehicle on Saturday. When I arrived at AutoMember I was excited to see the vehicle parked out front prepared for my arrival. The process was easy and efficient and the entire staff was very helpful. I would highly recommend Jay and the team at AutoMember.

Absolutely stellar service from start to finish!
Absolutely stellar service from start to finish! Jay was able to make my selection of a car effortless. Once I picked out the vehicle Justin took over the financing and beat my banks rate by 4 percent. He is extremely easy to work with and made the process a breeze.

Terrible service & experience. Avoid at all costs
I cannot emphasize enough how terrible of an experience I have had with AutoMember. Their customer service, car quality, and follow-up services are abysmal. Please use my review as a warning to stay away from this place. I contacted Night, a saleswoman, to schedule a time to view one of their cars listed on their website. I called and texted her a few days prior, the day of, and when I was on my way to the dealership to confirm the appointment and received her confirmation each time. I get there and find out that the car I was scheduled to see (and keep in mind I confirmed at least 3x) was in their other lot located 25 minutes away. She proceeds to try to make us look at other models at about $10,000 over the price range I was looking for. After having to insist several times that I only wanted to see the car I came to see, she makes a call and tells us it should be there in 20 minutes. It takes 45 minutes for the car to arrive to the dealership. We stayed only because we drove an hour and took time off work to see the car. We finally get to see and test drive the car and proceed with the buying process despite the initial setbacks. We noticed the “check tire pressure” light was on and they took a look at it and promised to fix it if it was not resolved that night. Given it was winter, we figured it was the cold affecting the tire pressure. We purchase the car with the promise that the issue would be fixed and that I would receive my permanent license plates within 3 weeks via mail. I drove off with the car that night. The next day, the light was still on so I tried to call Night to schedule a time to come in for their team to look at. Turns out she either blocked my number or disconnected her line. I had to call several times to the AutoMember mainline number before I got a hold of her and was able to schedule an appointment. I was fed up with them at this point but needed to have the issue resolved. To summarize, the issue was never resolved and no other help was offered. At this point I am only waiting for my permanent license plates. I called 2 weeks after the date of purchase and explain that the temporary plates were set to expire in 2 weeks so it was urgent. Night promises that they will arrive within the week but I never received them. Fast forward a couple days and I received an email that the plates were shipped on December 1st and should arrive within the next days. They are aware that my temporary plates are expired at this point and I am unable to drive my car. I call one last time because 8 days later I still had not received them. Turns out they had lied to me (for the 5th time now) and had only sent the plates on December 7th. This entire time I can’t use my car or I face the risk of being fined or worse. I have finally received my license plates nearly 40 days after the date of purchase. In summary, the issues were the following: - They wasted my time by not having the car I scheduled to see be in the dealership - Tried to sell me cars $10,000 above my price range - Did not fix the issue in my car that they promised to - Avoided my calls and emails - Delayed sending my permanent license plates to the point that the temporary tags expired - I couldn’t drive my car for 9 days because the plates were expired - Lied about when they had sent my license plates AutoMember failed me in every way possible. I would not wish for anyone to have to experience what I did, especially when the process of buying a car is stressful enough. Avoid them at all costs.

Friendly staff, but poor vehicle quality and post-sales...
Friendly staff, but poor vehicle quality and post-sales service - Don't buy from this dealership... I recently bought a Mini Cooper from Auto Member. On the test drive a tire-warning light came on, and I noticed a humming sound/vibration coming from the front of the car (which I assumed was a low tire). I told them the issues and they took the car into their shop and told me they fixed it. With this assurance I bought the car, and within 5-mins of leaving the lot the light came back on, and the humming vibration got worse. I immediately contacted Auto Lender and was told to bring the car back and that they'd take a look. I dropped the car the next day, and later got a call that the tire light was fixed, but they didn't notice any humming/vibration, and to come out and show the service manager the issue myself. Unfortunately, I couldn't go another day without the car, so I just decided to pick it up and take it to another shop later to get the humming issue sorted. When I arrived to pick up the car I immediately saw that the tire light was still on (despite being told over the phone it was fixed) - The general manager came out and told me it was a bad sensor that needs replacing, and that they had sold me the car as-is with no promise to fix it. This was contradictory to what I was told at time of purchase, and also to the message I'd gotten that they had fixed the problem. I told this to the general manager, who informed me his sales team hadn't mention any promise to fix the tire light to him, but he'd ask them about it and let me know.... two weeks later I haven't heard anything back. Given a lack of confidence in Auto Lender to actually address the problems, I took the vehicle to a Mini dealership to have them check the humming issue and inspect the vehicle. They immediately identified the humming issue as two bad front wheel bearings that needed to be replaced, and also found a cracked drive-pulley and leaking water-pump. In all I spent $2,300 fixing a vehicle I bought from Auto Member just a week prior. Auto Member had better pricing than most other dealers, but after the money I spent to repair the car I would have been better off going somewhere else and paying a bit more. If you must buy a car from Auto Member, I highly recommend getting the vehicle inspected before purchasing it, and if you do notice a problem before buying... don't expect them to fix it... they will not honor their promises.

They are not in a hurry for you to get your tags.
This experience would have been so much better if I didn't have to stay on them to get my tags. I was sent another temp tag however the paperwork hasn't been sent to where they claim it is for them to be processed. Once the sale is over its clear that your not their priority anymore. Unless you have time to call and be put through to vms saying they are closed when a human transferred you I would run.
