Ultimate GMC

This dealership has tried to add on extra charges every time we come in for a service. They agreed that my elderly aunt did not need a tire rotation when we discussed the service plan for our visit as she had only put 1000 miles on the car in the last year. We wanted an oil change only. Agreed. Bill comes out at the end with a $75 fee for tire rotation. Aunt had already written a check in the time i was asking to see an itemized cost breakdown on the bill. The guy checking us out was resistant to letting me see the bill. Finally hands it over and there is a $75 tire rotation fee. Instead of admitting their " error" and refunding us for a service we did not agree to (I believe it was fully intentional based on behavior of the service desk employees), they became highly defensive. Then the grown man behind the desk got very angry that he was going to have to start the transaction over, as if it was some huge inconvenience for him and we should just shut up and pay the extra $75. He then started whining (when anger and intimidation didn't work) and said we could start all over and tear up the check, as if it was an epic hassle for him. My aunt wrote a new check while he stood there fuming but also unable to look me in the eye which is why I feel this could have all been 100% intentional and planned by staff, to pad the bill. He looked very sheepish when he finally conceded to taking the $75 charge off our bill. I will never know, but the error could have been dealt with quickly and courteously and instead we were made fo feel like criminals for refusing to pay for unauthorized service work. We will not return to this dealer, ever. I believe they thought 2 women were an easy con, the one writing the check being 90 years old. If you get service here, go over your service charges with a fine tooth comb, 2 previous times we were here they also tried very persistently to add in services we did not want or need on my aunt's vehicle.

Purchase of a vehicle from Ultimate GMC could not have been easier. We are in awe of how smooth this purchase went. Dealership had a fair price. We had the car delivered by the dealership and really thought it might take two weeks to be delivered as we live in Georgia. Imagine our excitement when after only a couple of days after the paperwork, the car arrived as promised with the appropriate paperwork in our driveway! What a blessing! We've bought a lot of new cars over the last 40+ years, but this was the first time after calling ahead a couple of hours before we arrived that we had a sales person come out the front door of the dealership to meet us as we pulled in. Maddie answered all our questions and the whole purchase went so smoothly. We did a test drive, made the trade and signed the paper work and back on the road home in just a couple of hours.
