Lying Theives
Avoid buying a car from this company. I made the horrible mistake of purchasing a car from these lying theives one month ago. Every single word manager Maria and salesman Al uttered was a complete lie. They will offer you services to "help" you without informing you of the hidden fees involved. I started experiencing problems with the car the moment I drove it off the lot. Two days after taking it home, the airbag malfunction light suspiciously came on, as if they cleared the codes so that the malfunction would go unnoticed during a test drive. The brakes squeal, the check engine light comes on and off, the engine dies randomly on the highway, and the trunk fills up with water when it rains. All of these issues will cost more than $1000 to repair, and the company has refused to help in any way. These people have such a lack of respect for their customers that they will not even put new wiper blades on the car before selling it to you. Do not ever do business with these people.

We're sorry you were not happy with your experience. We try to make everyone's experience at Durrett Motor Company a great one. I have taken the time to research your complaint and found that you did have you vehicle thoroughly inspected by AutoExam before you completed your purchase and the vehicle came back with a clean bill of health. Maria confirmed that she did receive a call from you about a rubber trunk seal leaking water and she offered to help you, but you never called back to setup an appointment. After not hearing back from you, she followed-up with you to see if you still wanted to get the rubber trunk seal fixed and you declined the help stating you had moved out-of-town. As far as the other mechanical issues are concerned, no one has been contacted or given a chance to assist you with these issues. You mentioned there are "hidden fees" involved; however, we do not have any "hidden fees" and would appreciate if you would supply us with the information regarding the "hidden fees" that you are referring to. You are welcome to contact AutoExam regarding any discrepancies with their inspection process; however, we have found their reports to be accurate and reliable. We are in the business of pleasing our customers, and for some reason, as with all companies, we don't always succeed, but our true passion is to make customers happy.
