I’ve had the worst, first car buying experience ever!

I’ve had the worst, first car buying experience ever! DO NOT BUY/LEASE FROM THESE PEOPLE! They prey on people with bad credit and no knowledge of shady contracts. Finding out I don’t “own” the $6k car that I’ve basically paid almost $16k for and I have to pay another $3k to “own it”. They are deceitful and harass you at a day’s missed payment, and at the end of it all they’ll try to suck every last penny out of you! Claiming some DMV law that is non existent! Their customer service is non! This type of thievery has to be illegal! They’re lying to my credit saying I make monthly payments when I make weekly ones, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

ED FERNANDEZ

Don’t you dare try calling Shannon motors and leaving a voicemail. I was called back by Mr Ed Fernandez and had no service so my phone disconnected. He then left me a text message to remind me “that I came to HIM looking for a car”. Customer service is DISGUSTING and I would never send anyone here.

Go anywhere but Shannon motors

Update as of 03/06/07 You say customer service is your biggest thing, then maybe fire everyone working at your Johnston location, because they clearly have no training, they are liars, they don't care about anyone but the dollar, your customer service lies about Rhode Island inspection statue, which reads as Per Rhode Island DMV vehicles purchased from a licensed dealership are required by law to have a new inspection sticker at time of sale, this inspection can be no more than 90 days prior to the date of sale and vehicle can not have accumulated more than 500 miles from the mileage at the time of inspection. The Rhode island DMV Does not say the inspection has to be done by the leaseor, in this case Shannon motors, ( because they have no clue what they are talking about) I have made it my personal mission to make sure everyone knows how disgusting the people at Shannon motors are... If you read your actual mission statement, it's all false, not one employee at Shannon motors should be fired, you have no customer service. don't let Shannon motors trick you, they have no clue how to handle anything, they openly mock and instigate you when you call them, I hope they all loose their jobs, because none of them are professionals Shannon motors is the worst place to lease to own, if you go there bring a mechanic with you, have them do a complete inspection and make them fix everything wrong with it, withing the first 7 days, or you will be out a lot of money, read the contract, bring someone who understands law, and can go over it with you, be fore signing your lease, because they will not fix anything wrong with the car after their limited warranty which is 60 days, even if it's wear & tear they will not fix it, the lease you sign absolves them from responsibility, leaving you with the bill, if you can go anywhere else, there are plenty of places, once we finish off the lease of this car, and buy it out, we will never buy from Shannon motors again, they give you the wrong information, they are rude, and do not care about you, at the end of the day, they want your money, regardless of your financial situation, you are better off, going anywhere other then Shannon motors, I will be making sure everyone I know, knows not to go with them, if I could give Shannon motors negative stars I would, I can't wait untill the lease is up and we can buy out, never again never, go somewhere else

This place is awful.

This place is awful. I regret even going to Shannon Motors. For starters they sold me a 2010 that has had a recall on it that was never fixed. It’s going to need a whole new engine so now I’m stuck with it. Furthermore I’m trying to get out of this vehicle, I still owe $10,000. The car alone is worth 6000. My car payments are almost $500 a month. I could have a brand new car for that I suggest never going there.

Selling Lemons!!!

Stay away!!!! Cars will ONLY run until the warranty ends or shortly after. They are selling lemons! They will bury you in a hole you can't get out of.

Worst experience ever.

Worst experience ever. i was leasing from them never late for 3 years. Decided to buy the car out I’m a week behind on payment. They threatened to repossess my car guy was a total jerk his name is Jason hides behind a desk all day. I owe less than 700 dollars out of a 15,000 dollar car. I get when you are leasing it’s a weekly payment but when you finance a car it’s monthl. I would not recommend going here if you have bad credit there is plenty of other buy here pay here places. Oh yes almost forgot if you still do decide to lease a car from here and decide to buy out. They have to inspect the car and will find anything to get more money out of you. When I got my car inspected by them I had to replace the bumper guard. I replaced it myself when I took it out the guard practically crumbl in my hands. But it was inspected right before I got it 3 years ago. There is no way it was in that condition in 3 years. So basically they just slap a sticker on when you lease the car then do a detailed inspection when you want to buy out to get you for more money. I know people will still buy from here probably disregard my review people are morons what can I say except I will never return to this place when I need a car again
