Walk away, folks.

We put a deposit down to "hold" a Jeep for me to take it to be inspected by our Jeep mechanic. The receipt does NOT say nonrefundable on it. They avoided my calls for over a week. Can't get hold of anyone to find out where his money is. He finally gets the finance guy, and they're trying to say that money was nonrefundable! His receipt DOES NOT SAY THIS. Go elsewhere, y'all.

Horrible Experience - No Communication

Review reflects my whole car shopping process with multiple dealerships and the positive and negatives. Marietta Auto Sales in Marietta, GA was the biggest negative in my journey as it was frustrating getting any service and communication and biggest waste of my time. Little background. Went on military leave to Florida with the family to Disneyworld and the other resorts. Decided to car shop down their due to the abundance of available vehicles around the area and on the way back up to Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Found a few dealerships with the right Lexus LX 570 and price and negotiated a few. Was serious with three dealership: Porsche-St Louis, Raymond Motor Company-Center, TX, then Marietta Auto Sales-Marietta, GA. First one, Porsche-St. Louis accepted my offer but called me on 30DEC20 to tell me the car was sold for listed price. No big deal, wasn’t even nearby and the big heads up allowed for me to continue my shopping. At this point, I went back to Kevin Perry at Marietta Auto Sales to resume my intentions to possibly purchase this vehicle while I put in my inquiry with Logan Peters at Raymond Motor Company to potentially buy their LX 570. I would be making the decision to purchase one of the two after my in-person reservation visit with Kevin on my way up from Florida on the 31DEC. When I arrived, I called Kevin to let him know I was nearby and couldn’t find the dealership. He let me know that it was down the hill and that he wasn’t there because of a personal issue he had to deal with and referred me to his sales manager Daniel. When I walked in, I got with a sales manager who referred me to Maleka due to Kevin not being available and Daniel being on the phone. I pointed to the vehicle on the showroom and Maleka tells me it is sold. With that information, I tried calling Kevin and texted him to confirm and no response. I figured it was and left the dealership for a 10 hour drive back home. I called Logan Peters to let him know that his vehicle would be the one I will be purchasing due to being the right price and only one available that fit my needs. Due to the holidays and closure of the dealership, he went the extra yard to meet my situation and offered to get approval from his boss to come in on shop closure to sell me the vehicle. I made this plan my primary due to him making expectation that this situation will work but in the end it didn’t. After putting in my finance request with him, his communication stopped (late night 31DEC) and I received a late text at 10pm on New Years Day saying that my SSN was not correct even though I had multiple credit check alerts that night. This is after I accepted ONE credit check to see my rate, not 3-4. I told him it was too late for me to book a 6am flight from St Louis (two hours away) to meet him on Saturday 02JAN21 and buying this vehicle from his dealer is no longer an option and that I thought things didn’t go well since he stop communicating with me for almost a whole day. I began my search again and noticed the Marietta Auto Sales page and other listings still showed the vehicle available. I sent a request for availability and Daniel (sales manager) replied saying it was. I then get an email and text from both Kevin and Maleka saying it was. I asked both to confirm and Maleka confirms no and Kevin doesn’t reply. I tried calling Daniel’s number three times and no response. I called the general number three times and was disconnected the first time (with Maleka) when she tried to transfer the call, second time was answered by Kevin and he said Terry wasn’t available (wanted a new team to handle my business), and the third time was picked up by Chau Tran who answered my question that the vehicle was available. I then proceed to submit my finance request with them online and he calls me back to say it was not available and they forgot to put a sold sign on the vehicle. Definitely frustrated and disappointed. Dealer sells very nice vehicles but their customer service and co

Rude Deceitful Staff

Drove 80 miles to test drive a vehicle, that a staff member confirmed via telephone, text, and several emails was still available, only to be told that the vehicle was sold when I got there. A manager( James although I think he gave me a fake name, because he refused to give me his title) became irate with me, and stood up and yelled in my face , in front of several male employees( who did absolutely nothing) and customers. I will Never go back, or recommend anyone do business with them. We women already feel intimated going to a car dealership alone, and to be yelled at , and talked down to in the process sealed the deal for me. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELESWHERE!!!!!!

TERRIBLE

Drove 2 hours just for them to tell me they didn’t have the car , and then still have the car on their website, then they change the price from $12,250 to $12,900 after I left. If y’all put the the wrong price that’s all y’all had to say I might would still bought it instead of saying y’all sold it

One of the worst customer service experiences ever

I rarely leave reviews for anything I purchase, but the experience I had at Marietta Auto Sales was so dreadful, I felt it was my obligation to warn others of what they might experience if they buy a car there... I purchased a used car from MAS in the summer of 2020. Our salesperson, Jaa, was friendly and helpful throughout the process. Every other part of the buying experience was poor. Jaa was the lone bright spot. The actual negotiation process was pretty much what you'd expect from a used car dealership—lots of posturing, back and forth, and "let me go check with my sales manager." Know that one of their tactics during this process is to ask you to put your signature on a piece of paper each time you make an offer. This is completely unnecessary, and I suspect it's a psychological tactic designed to give you a false sense of commitment. (During the back-and-forth, we became aware of a $799 dealership fee. Of course this is not reflected in the price shown online, so just know that going in.) We were also told that the $600-ish dollar maintenance package was optional. If you've ever bought a used car, you know to always expect this upsell. We were clear from the beginning that we didn't want this. Finally, we agreed on a price (only $300 less than what was shown online) and an amount they would give us for our trade-in. This was on a Saturday. On Monday we came back in with a cashier's check for the exact amount the salesman had told us. We met with a man in the finance office, and this is when the real problems began... PROBLEM #1 - When we told this man that we opted out of the $600 maintenance plan, he told us, incredulously, that this plan was NOT optional. This is the exact opposite of what our salesperson had told us. He was visibly annoyed by this, but eventually dropped the issue. PROBLEM #2 - This same man then showed us the final amount we owed—about $500 more than what we were initially told. Assuming it was a simple math error, I asked to review the various line items so I could see how he got to that new amount. Instead of actually trying to help me understand this discrepancy, this man spoke to me like I was an idiot. He got louder and more angry because the numbers still didn't match up. When you work with the public, a PROFESSIONAL will work to DE-escalate a situation. This man did the opposite, and it was completely unnecessary. After 3-5 minutes of this awkward interaction, we discovered that the discrepancy was due to the fact that we'd put down a $500 deposit the weekend before. Again, this was a simple issue that could have been easily resolved if this man had an ounce of humility or self-awareness. He had neither. PROBLEM #3 - After the awkward interaction about the price, we all met back out on the sales floor—me, the salesman, and the guy from the finance office. They spoke privately for a bit. Finally the finance guy turned to me and said, "Well you really pulled one over on us!" insinuating that I'd lied about the maintenance plan being optional (I hadn't). At this point I was completely pissed at this guy's incompetence and complete rudeness. I can't imagine a worse business practice than making customers feel stupid AND accusing them of lying. PROBLEM #4 - Technically, this was on me, but just know that if you buy a car from MAS, you should not assume it's been properly serviced before the sale. We spent $2000 two weeks after our purchase (brakes, tires, another key fob, SD card for navigation, and more) on maintenance and missing items. Don't be fooled like we were. MARIETTA AUTO SALES - You're bad at business. You reinforce every bad stereotype about buying a used car. You are the reason Carmax exists. You employ at least one xxxxxxx (probably more!). You should read a Sam Walton book about how to treat customers. Also, hire more women. In a world where customer service and online reviews matter a whole lot, the doltish, low-EQ men you employ are going to sink you.

Salesman

We drove over an hour to an appointment to test drive a car. Although the sales lady who answered the phone was very nice and pleasant when we arrived at the facility we had the pleasure (not) of having to deal with Frank who said he would have to have the car brought up and cleaned and sanitized for us to test drive it. Well he walked off and returned saying someone else had the key and was driving it. So we proceeded to go out side and the same car we had made an appointment to test drive was right there up front and another customer was climbing in it to test drive it. So we left and 7 min later got a call from Frank who still had the nerve to lie again saying that he didn't know what happened and why we left but the car was brought back at 5:07 and he didn't see why we drove over an hour and couldn't wait a few more minutes to wait and test drive the car and whatever, it is what it is!!! Well FYI Frank, yes it is what it is and what it is..... And I chose not to waste no more time with someone who lied straight to my face and then catch an attitude. I have been in retail for over 20 something years and never experienced such rude and dishonest customer service.
