I was a little uneasy about purchasing a new car but when I arrived at University Kia they eased all of my concerns. My car buying experience was one... of the BEST. They had a great selection of new & used cars to choose from. My salesman, Andrew, was very courteous and helpful. Because of him and the great managers at University Kia I am now the owner of a 2018 Kia Optima.
Being that it had been 11 years since I last purchased a vehicle, I was very nervous about purchasing a new/used one. From the moment I walked into the... store, Gabriel made me feel very comfortable. He was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He asked questions to find out exactly what I was looking for in a car and then provided options that fit my interests and budget. I expected to maybe drive off in a used but low mileage car or suv; instead, I drove off in a brand new 2018. I am highly satisfied with my purchase and will be back when I'm ready to go through the buying process again (in a few years). Thanks Gabriel!!!
I've never written a bad review before, but University Kia used a "bait and switch" tactic today that I would consider at least unethical... and possibly illegal. University Kia had a used vehicle listed on several websites, and they confirmed the price of the vehicle both over the phone and in person. After we test drove the vehicle and were prepared to purchase it, the floor manager informed us that the price had gone up $600+ and that they would not honor the listed or quoted price. They also would not honor their ongoing promotion of $500 off a new or used vehicle, though the vehicle should not have been excluded from the deal. If their price on a vehicle seems lower than neighboring dealerships, it is probably too good to be true. I'd recommend making a purchase through one of Huntsville's more reputable dealers.
BAIT AND SWITCH is the name of their game. I came to see a car they had listed and had a verbal agreement on a price with Zack (nice guy) we decided... to go grab a coffee to think about it and when we came back they wouldn’t honor the agreed upon price. I thought they were joking at first but the sales manager came out and was extremely rude and very demeaning to me, my wife, and my father. I had a print out of our agreed upon price from their website and another from CarGurus but they refused to honor it. On top of everything they wouldn’t honor their “coupon “ of $500 off from their website. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you AVOID this dealership in it entirety, at least until they change their management.
Bought a Dodge dart a couple years ago with Platinum warranty at KIA in huntsville. Brought car in due to over heating. KIA replaced thermostat under... extended warranty. KIA called and said car still overheating and water pump was bad. Said I need to take it to dodge because it was still under manufacture power train warranty. Dodge said thermostat was not installed correctly. Dodge fixed the issue with thermostat. Took paperwork from dodge showing what they did back to KIA to get my 100.00 dollar deductible back. I showed the paper work to KIA service manager he said he did not believe dodge. Dodge did not charge me to correct what KIA was supposed to fix. When I asked service manager for a refund of the 100.00 deductible paid to KIA. He said NO ABSOLUTELY NOT. Because KIA did not fix what was wrong and was forced to take car to dodge, we were without the car for about 10 days. Service manager did not care about customer at all.
Took car in for over heating. Had bought the Platinum extended warranty on a used Dodge dart. After having car for a couple days kia called and said... thermostat needed to be replaced. They replaced the thermostat but said it was still over heating and water pump was bad. Kia said I need to take car to dodge because it was still under manufacture power train warranty. Hard to pay kia 100.00 deductible for something that was not fixed. Took it to dodge and they fixed the issue. Dodge said the thermostat was installed incorrectly. Went back to kia to get the 100.00 deductible refunded. Service manager said absolutely not. Very unprofessional and not customer oriented. Will not buy another car from kia and recommend nobody pays extra for extended warranty.
Traded for KIA Optima and was lied to about trade in amount, car received was used as a loaner that I was not told about, and they delivered the car with... trash and sand in it. Will never go back!!!
I located a used vehicle on line, emailed a representative who responded quickly. With me living 2 hours away, I knew that they would have to sell me... on the vehicle via telephone . I arrived at the dealership and was immediately greeted by Cedric McGinnis who provided 1st class service and made my car buying experience smooth and with positive results. Ben met us in the parking area and from there I test drove several cars until we got in the Soul. From then on I knew this was it. Then I met Ben's brother... Corey who prepared the paperwork. I have to say I was apprehensive about the $amount. Corey immediately sensed my uneasy feelings and walked out of the room then was back in about two minutes. My uneasy feelings vanished at what he had to tell me. I left there a very grateful and blessed buyer. This was the best car buying experience I've had in my many years of car buying. I am one happy and satisfied customer. Thank you Ben and Corey. And while there I got to meet Arthur but not his son. Their commercials are what made me want to check out University KIA. They are true to their word. Awesome!
