Con Artists

Dealership ran a separate hard inquiry credit check without my permission even though I was already approved through Capital One, and I specifically stated I DID NOT want them to run my credit through any other banks. They also low balled me BIG TIME on my trade in so they could offer it for sale for $4,000 more than they gave me. (They listed my trade in for hundreds more than I bought it for BRAND NEW 2 1/2 years ago!) Additionally, I STILL have not received my second key fob, which you're supposed to get when purchasing a brand new vehicle (2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited). They're no better than your typical dealership...straight con artists. Oh, and they said they "detailed" my car, but it still has residue all over the paint that I cannot get off myself. What a joke. Don't give these con artists your business.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a car

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a car dealership I got the trade-in I wanted and the price for a new Santa Cruz. Austin the sales person was fantastic took care of all my needs would definitely recommend This dealership to all my friends and family

This was my first time financing a car and Chip and Jamie

This was my first time financing a car and Chip and Jamie were so sweet and thorough out the entire process. The prices were by far the best and my car was super low mileage! It was exactly what I wanted! I never felt pressured to do anything. I highly recommend Coughlin Hyundai!!!

Service department

After purchasing 4 Hyundai’s since 2015 we have noticed that the services requested have not been preformed as said. Took Hyundai Sonata in for oil change,engine air filter, cabin filter, and tire rotation. We ask if they would inspect the back brakes cause we heard a grinding sound when applying the brakes the day or two before. They said yes thy would inspect the brakes when they rotated the tires that it was part of that service. All done they said all is good and everything checks out fine. Driving home we noticed the grinding sound once again. We then went to a car wash and power washed the brakes on the back. After leaving we still noticed the grinding sound as we got home I inspected the brakes myself and noticed a scratch starting around the rotor from the pad. The rotor was in good condition except for the scratch developing on the rotor, the brake pad good. These rotors and pads are fairly new and spent near $600 plus to have a reliable sound car. For them to not notice that there was a problem with the back right side brake pad and rotor upset us. Driving that car more applying the brakes would eventually cost me a lot of money for a new rotor and brake pads. Also The past several years have noticed that we always ask for a car wash and it is a free service when having your car serviced there but our car is hardly ever washed when we get there to pick it up. Now around 6 to 8 times now. Have asked about that before and and it seems that there’s always an excuse that their car wash machine is broken down. So why advertise free car wash when the service is not available. False advertising. Last but least after picking up our car and noticed inside was very dirty on the seat and steering wheel. We had to take a cleaner to the seats to remove the residue and clean the steering wheel off. With all that said I do have to say Audra is exceptional person and worker she has done us right every time. Five stars to her but the rest I have to downgrade to three stars lately. Beware - hope your experience is better than mine.

I see there are many five star reviews for this dealership. I'm sorry to say mine cannot be another one. There are many things to say, so let's get started. First, the dealer lied to me, hiding rebates offered by Hyundai for financing through them. When we were within $500 of the deal I sought, and I was going to walk away, they 'found' a $500 rebate on the car I wanted. The problem is, they initially lied to me and said there were none. Then, through a friend of mine who is also a Hyundai salesman, I found out the rebate was actually supposed to be $750. The dealer was going to keep the remaining $250 of that rebate for theirselves. After I drove the car, I decided against it, and test drove another one. Because of the ordeal getting them to even admit that there was a rebate before, I let them know I checked with my friend, and found the next car I was interested in had a $1500 rebate from Hyundai. They did give that to me right away, because they knew I had my friend advising me, and couldn't get away with it. But they tried the oldest trick in the book by reducing what they were giving me for my trade. I caught it, and they fixed it, after some disussion on it. My salesperson Mallarie was also not very pleasant, even snarky at times. She tried to tell me more than once that rebates were "dealer specific." My Hyundai salesman friend told me in no way was that true. The rebate was in the deal, whether they were showing it to me or not. When I called her on the $1500 rebate, and the sales manager agreed to give in and give me MY rebate, she came back with such an attitude, and said, "there, we gave it to you." She didn't speak to me as she passed between her desk and the manager's desk. Another note: the dealer won't take out of state financing, meaning I couldn't go to my bank and take out a loan, and take a check with me to the dealer. Why? Because Hyundai gives the dealer an incentive to get customers to finance through them. And if the customer doesn't make three payments in a row to start the loan, they lose that incentive (money) from Hyundai. Knowing this, and still agreeing to buy from them, it was appalling that they then tried to keep MY rebate for financing through Hyundai. They wanted the world... their incentive AND my rebate. And when they didn't get it, I got treated like crap. They also sent me home with less than a half tank of gas. Who does this? They are reimbursing me for my latest fuel purchase, but man.. bush league for allowing me to drive off the lot without a full tank. Also.. the description of the car and it's features on the dealer's site were not features on my car. The sticker on the car does match the features I received, but not what was on the site. Last of all, my dealer friend said there was no way they were leaving my email in the system. so that Hyundai could send me a survey about my purchase experience. And sure enough, I didn't get the survey. Hyundai requires dealer's to maintain a 4.9 out of 5.0 stars for ratings. I'm sure they knew I wouldn't give them a good one based on how they treated me, so they made sure my email wasn't going to Hyundai. That's why I'm reviewing them here. One bright spot, was the finance manager Jamie looking for something I believed we left in the car. He said he looked for 30 minutes, and I believed and appreciate him for it. He also got me in and out quickly, and has maintained good communication with me after the sale, especially making sure I am getting reimbursed for the gas I didn't get. But that bright spot doesn't even begin to make up for the total crap show I experienced at this dealership. I only wish the dealer my friend worked at had cars. I would've walked right out of this place and never looked back.

We were very happy to be able to make a service appt....

We were very happy to be able to make a service appt. after being on a long trip,and needing an oil change while out of town. Other dealerships had over a week wait. This was only a few days. Audra was very easy and pleasant to work with during scheduling and service time. It seemed they were running late, (short staffed as with most places) so she helped prepare everything they needed to expedite things. She also offered an office for my husband and I to wait in which we appreciated since no one was wearing masks (besides us) and we were visiting elderly parents. It ended up only taking 45 min. all together and we appreciated the car wash that the did! Would definitely use them again! Thanks also to the service man for being there and taking care of us!
