HORRIBLE! RUDE! CONDESCENDING!

Unbelievably rude! My husband and I drove up to look at a particular pickup. Lot is very small and extremely congested. Hard to drive in lot, let alone turn around to get out. We looked around the front of the lot at the vehicles and then went inside. (No one came out to help us or see if they could be of assistance.) When we came into the office to see what other vehicles were available, we were treated like we were an imposition to be there looking at vehicles. We were told the vehicles were in the back. Period. No one asked what we were looking for or offered to help - just go look. When we got into the back of the building, the cars were packed in really tight. A guy, Ed, finally came up to my husband but didn't even acknowledge me, just spoke to my husband. When my husband told Ed what we were looking for, a 3/4 ton Dodge pickup, he refused to listen and tried to tell my husband about several other vehicles. My husband kept repeating what we were looking for and FINALLY got thru to him. There wasn't anything in the back we were interested in and the pickup we really wanted to see and drove up for was in the front parking area. My husband asked if we could look inside the truck and Ed said he would get the keys. As we came out of the back of the building into the office area again the lady sitting out front said goodbye to us. Nothing about did you find anything, is there anything we could help you find or show you?, Nothing! We told her we were going to look at a truck out front and she seemed extremely surprised. After Ed finally got the Dodge pickup backed out of all the vehicles that were packed in like sardines in this extremely small lot, we looked it over and then asked if we could test drive the truck. Ed said I'll check and went inside, presumably to get a dealers plate...? He came back out a few minutes later and asked how we were going to pay for this vehicle! We hadn't even driven it yet!!! He said his manager told him to tell us there wouldn't be any huge discounts on this truck or really low payments on this truck like $300/month or anything like that and that we probably couldn't get financing on this old of a truck (It was a 2006!). We were totally flabbergasted that he would verbally attack us this way, insinuating we couldn't pay for this vehicle and he didn't even know us!!! We hadn't asked for a discount, hadn't even discussed money, we were at this point just wanting to test drive it and see how it ran/performed. Ed very rudely informed us that he was talking to SEVERAL other people on this vehicle and we told him to sell it to them and we walked off! Ed said to my husband as we were walking off, that we shouldn't be insulted by him asking how we were going to pay for it and apparently we weren't really serious about buying the truck. Well, considering we drove about 100 miles to come look at the truck with the intention of buying it and would have paid cash for it on the spot (NO FINANCING!!!!!!) if it had run well and was what we wanted, Ed completely lost a sale!! We will NEVER go back to this horrible place and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! Don't waste your time with this place!!! Read the reviews on Yelp.com - spot on!!! BTW - we went to Sid Dillon in Crete and bought a truck!

Great people and great place

Great place with great people, they worked with us to get the best deal possible and were all very nice. I would recommend Gretna Auto Outlet to anybody that is looking for a new ride.

They busted their xxxxx!

More then happy with the outcome i got with gretna auto, Oscar, Tom and pat worked many hours trying to get my sub par credit approved and they got it done for me on a vehicle of my choosing. These guys care about their customers and you can see that with the work they put in. I will be back in the future!

They were helpful

Along way to drive, parking lot was really congested, they have a huge inventory priced good, very good wait area, clean restrooms, inside sales area very congested

Friendly & Helpful

The people at this dealer are very helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to work with you. They had my financing in place before I arrived, which made my visit much faster and less complicated than any other car purchase I have made previously. The sales person even came in on his day off!

best place to buy a car!

such a great, friendly place! I've never had such a wonderful experience buying a car, as I did at Gretna Auto! everyone was extremely helpful and well organized! Brad Merwald was very welcoming and helped me get my dream car!

Quick and Friendly

Worked with these guys from out of state. Hey we're friendly. Easy to work with. And had everything ready when we got there. Plenty of vehicles to choose from. They just need to get a bigger lot!
