I had a not so great experience at this dealership today. I had been working with Leon Dixon for several days on the purchase of a 26 Ford Maverick. We agreed on price, trade, etc. He was very accommodating and had great follow-up. I asked him to send my final paperwork for review which he did to ensure we were on the same page and all figures were in order. I was trading a vehicle and paying cash for the difference. When he sent the documents the total due from me was just over 5,400. I reviewed everything and replied I would do 5,000 plus my vehicle. He replied he was not able to do that and I thanked him for his time and that I was not going to proceed. While this was a small difference I was set at 5,000 and I was comfortable not proceeding. He immediately emailed and text me that he had talked to his General Manager and we was not going to lose a deal over the approximate 400.00. He said I was all set to come on in. I rearranged my work schedule because he told me the deal was only good “today”. I went in with a clean title to my vehicle and my checkbook as he stated that form of payment was fine. When I arrived he disappeared with the GM. The GM Cody Wagoner came to chat with me and asked what he could do to sell me this vehicle. I was a bit surprised as I was clearly under the impression the deal was done. As Leon and I agreed on a price otherwise I would not have gone to the dealership. I informed him of such and he walked off. (I have the email with Leon’s confirmation of such) He immediately came back and said the best he could offer me was 5,124. I said no that I had agreed with Leon on 5,000. To me although a small dollar amount it was the principle behind it. So either Leon was not honest and had not confirmed or it was a simple bate and switch after I arrived. Needless to say I did not make the purchase. Petty I know but it really put a very bad taste in my mouth for this dealership and specific practice. Why would Leon have agreed on 5,000 and tell me he confirmed then not stick to what was agreed upon. I felt like they were not being honest just to get me in the door. I immediately thought if they can’t be honest about this what else are they hiding. When I got home Leon reached out yet again. He told me the GM had brought this truck in especially for me. That I doubt, but I did find the vehicle by the VIN on Sullivan Ford’s website. He said it wasn’t much more and that I should just pay it as it was a good deal and the GM was going all out. That made no sense to me. It felt like they were insinuating I did something wrong. We had a deal and it was not honored upon arrival - period! Not the way to do business and build any sort of loyalty especially in a tight economy.

I dealt with coop. Over a year ago I sold him a little trailer. I paid $500 for for $400. He has never completed paying it. He is a great salesman, but I think he needs a pay raise so he can pay his bills.

I had the best experience with Steven Johnson! I was in a very weird situation and needed a car asap. Almost every place I went to wouldn't even bother with helping me but that was not the case with Steven. It was even his first day on the job and I was his first customer so talk about stressful! Not only did he go above and beyond but he kept it real. He never led me on with any details and really changed my mindset of how a car salesman will just tell you what you want to hear. I recommend him to everyone and anyone! Steven is the man to get you into the vehicle you want!

Kyle ya'll!!!! I have not actually purchased a vehicle from here but I have spoken with Kyle and he got me the information I need as ASAP as possible. He is not too pushy and I really enjoy having a conversation with him--he's hilarious and I felt like he really cared about me and my needs. It was sad when his dad Tom Carney passed, but it seems like Kyle is doing a great job filling in those shoes. I would not hesitate to deal with these guys and forget going to a bigger town! Hometown Holzhalb all the way.
