RIP OFF

I would give them a zero if I could. We bought a car from them. Sold it the following year and have been trying to get a refund on our warranty for 4 mos. All they have to do is fill out paperwork and send it to the insurance co. We have contacted the ins co and they have not rec'd the paperwork. We have called and called and called. We have filed a BBB complaint. I am now hiring an attorney. They are a RIP OFF!!!

Long story short, our purchase with them went so badly...

Long story short, our purchase with them went so badly (Trotters lied about the condition of open recalls, they botched the financing and forgot to pay off our trade in vehicle, and 2 days after purchase starting having significant mechanical issues) that we had to unwind the whole deal. However, since they signed the “unwinding contract”: - they have not canceled the title registration (meaning it’s still going out in our name) - they have not paid off our financing with Capital One (we just had to make a payment on a truck that hasn’t been in our possession in nearly a month) - they have not been willing to reimburse us for our Ad Valorum tax (TAVT) even though since we signed the contract the tag office has made it clear that Platinum is the one who needs to reimburse us (Platinum had assured us that we could just take our tags to the tag office and that they would refund us immediately) - they have not answered any phone calls from us in two weeks Despite our best efforts, we ended up in THE nightmare scenario everyone wants to avoid. Our two biggest mistakes we made were 1) trusting them at their word and 2) purchasing the vehicle from them. As a result, we are in worse shape than before we bought from them!

Beware! We had an awful experience with this dealership - to the point that we had to unwind the deal - and even then they haven't fulfilled their end and paid off the financing/canceled the title on the vehicle that we had purchased from them, which means we have had to make car payments on a car that's not been in our possession for 3 weeks, and they won't respond to ANY phone calls! Coming from Alabama, I expected Atlanta dealerships to be...

Coming from Alabama, I expected Atlanta dealerships to be top tier like displayed online. I was sadly mistaken when dealing with one of the sales reps at Platinum Cars. The young lady had no regards for how far I'd come just for a car. She continuously brushed me off, to answer her own personal phone calls. Every 10 minutes she excused herself to answer calls which was fine until she returned with bad energy. She was more focused on her phone than she was about me needing to purchase a car. I eventually told her I had to leave and that I would keep it touch. I never plan on wasting my time there ever again.

This experience was the worst I've gotten in a long time. The sales "manager" had an attitude and seemed to be rushing me out.

Very pleased with the deal I got on my F-150. Salesman Fabian was an excellent salesman. Well mannered, low-keyed, did not rush me for a quick sell. Very pleased. Pleased with Otis in finance as well.

Horrible b.s. bait n switch

Total b.s. different sales person w/ mgmt whispering in back ground; no follow-up, questions unanswered- than multiple calls back with more b.s. I actually tried to buy a car but they kept changing the #s and details. Then more calls from some supposed customer srvc person that was really just more b.s. PATHETICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DEAL WITH
