Keep going back

We keep going back to Baxter. We don't always have the best luck with the tail end of the sales, but our sales person has always been good to us. Wherever Sean Thies sells cars is where we will buy them from.

RECYLED oil used if you have a service contract!

We purchased our vehicle with a maintanance contract for oil changes etc., from Baxter Ford on West Dodge. I was in the area of Baxter South and needed an oil change, they said they honor the coupons from the other Baxter Ford. After the oil change, I noticed the sticker on the window said ECO oil. I asked them and they said with a contract you get RECYLED oil. If you pay, which I thought I did with the contract, you get NEW Ford oil. I called Baxter on West Dodge they said they only use New Ford oil. BEWARE of BAXTER SOUTH. At they least could of told you up front. It is obvious this manger does not operate by the same morals as the one on Baxter West. I am eating the rest of the contract and taking my business elsewhere.

Good experience purchasing new vechile.

Came to dealership to speak to Justin Walls about buying a new vehicle. He introduced us to Ed Schlegel stating Ed knew everything about the Ford Edge and would be a big asset in helping us find one. Needless to say Ed was very helpful in finding us the perfect Edge. Just want to give a big Thank You to these two guys plus your finance team.

Bought a truck

I am from Minnesota and drove to Omaha last weekend to buy a 2014 Truck. I found the vehicle online and worked with Will Leader and it was smooth and seamless!! I drove there and advised I needed to have it be a quick transaction and not take the normal 3 hours it seems to take buying a vehicle. They got me in and out in about 50 min. I worked with Will and got most items taken care of before I got there. Even worked with the dealership on my trade in! Was a fantastic and seamless buying experience! Definitely recommend giving Baxter Ford an opportunity to beat others prices!!

I don't know where to begin...

When I first came onto the lot I was excited to be looking for a truck that I could make my own and love. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman and still I was excited. I took my dad with me to help with this purchase because I am a little youno and wanted someone who had done this a couple times before. We were sat in a desk and told to wait. Keep in mind we were there on a Tuesday morning. It wasn't busy at all. I was fine with waiting but I assumed I would get to walk the lot or see a list of vehicles avalible to me. I knew I wanted a truck but I had a list of other things I wanted as well. I wasn't asked anything about exactly what I wanted. I knew I was either going to lease new or buy used. After arguing for half an hour about my budget on a vehicle I was shown one truck that I could lease. I test drove it. Upon climbing into the vehicle my father noticed a pair of shorts left in the back seat. Yes, you read that correctly. A mens pair of running shorts were on the floor in the back. Which was not the last of the surprises this truck had in store for us as we would come to find out later. Still I liked the truck. We went back inside and had to wait again. So I decided to call my insurance company and see how much insurance on such a vehicle was going to cost me. I was already waiting for Lord knows what, so I made use of my time. My insurance company said they would call me back when they had an answer. Meanwhile I asked to see what were the options if I wanted to buy used. I got told up and down, left and right, that that wasn't what I wanted to do. So I listened to the manager and kept thinking that I was getting something newer and nicer. When he came back and asked what we thought I told him I was waiting for a call from my insurance company, to which I had papers shoved down my throat to sign for them to run my credit. I was slightly annoyed and had that terrible awful feeling in my stomach. I should have left right then and there. Then my dad had papers shoved down his throat to sign for them to run his credit. My dad wasn't there to cosign for me! So we sat around and waited. And they kept insisting my dad needed to cosign which meant he had to call my mother and get her opinion. So he called and got the okay. So we were told he was going to be a cosigner. Fine. Whatever. Very extremely long story short, they ended up switching everything so my dad was the primary holder. So I didn't get a new truck my dad did! Then I was given the key and told it was mine so I put my key ring on it. They asked to borrow the keys so they could get it washed and put a tank of gas in it for me, to which I gave them my key. We then sat around for another hour. When they came back my dad and I were so ready to leave. I moved the stuff frof my car to the truck and decided to set up a later appointment to get it detailed because my dad had to get back home for an apointment. They said I would get the second key when I got it detailed which I was fine with. I took a key and left. About halfway home I realised it wasn't the key I had put my key ring on and I thought about turning around but since I live over an hour away and we were already running late I figured I would come back the next day and get my key. My dad started going through the truck and found loan papers and recipes from the manager who had test drove the truck sometime in January! There were papers laying out the dates he test drove it. My dad went back this morning to get my key and drop off the title to my previous car and they had already lost the second key! The key with my key ring on it! He confronted the manager about leaving his garbage and stuff in the truck, which we had been told the only miles on it had been relocation miles, and the manager gave him lie after lie and the whole run around about how it wasn't him and he didn't know how the papers got there and all kinds of stuff. I am so upset and hurt. I guses now I know better for next time.

Had a good experience in looking for a vehicle.

I came in seeking information on trading in my current vehicle on a new or slightly used vehicle. Will was very helpful in giving me information about trading in my truck. Very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to any of my friends wanting to purchase a new or used vehicle.

Poor Service, Long Wait

I purchased a new vehicle from Baxter in October and had several issues with the buying process. The most frustrating was the prolonged process it took to get the wheels we agreed upon at purchase date. It took nearly 3 months (80 days to be exact) to get the wheels. I heard several different reasons including: the shop was too busy to get it done, we needed to swap wheels with a vehicle with my desired wheels (which was not agreed upon at the time of purchase), and finally that they wouldn't pay for wheels (from Ford Parts) because it would cost them money. My salesperson frequently seems surprised when I would call and ask for an update. Several calls to managers (General, Sales) were not returned despite multiple calls. I frequently felt like my business was not valued despite buying a brand new vehicle from them. The sales process was not any better but I will leave well enough alone at this time. I can say with 100% certainty that I will not, nor would I recommend to a friend, buy a car from a Baxter.

Leasing my first car...Ford Fiesta

Jay Hofferber was the best. He really listened to what I wanted for my first lease...including the color (Go Dallas Cowboys). Everything went so smoothly and everyone was very nice and professional. Would recommend them for purchasing or leasing a Ford.
