My brand new Toyota 4Runner was totaled in a wreck after only 4 weeks. A lady ran a stop sign and T-boned me. The 4Runner was was excellent in taking the... crash and saving me. So I called Caldwell, Beth Milllsaps, and again she and Caldwell found a new 4Runner and had everything ready for me when I came to pick up my new car. I came in and talked with John, he let me drive the vehicle, and when it came to doing the deal they were far and honest. Even after I purchased my truck,... we noticed some paint over-spray, and John had it wet sanded and waxed for me! Definitely will buy from them again.
Jason, the salesman I had previously dealt with, came through again!!!! Following a phone call from him concerning a great offer from Toyota, I made an... appointment to look at the cars, and check out the details of the offer. Jason is the perfect salesman, listening to needs, paying attention to budget, showing possible vehicle choices, and Not pressuring for a sale. The offer was a really great one, and I have now bought my third vehicle from Jason. In less than two hours from the time I arrived, I drove home in a new Highlander. "Thank you for purchasing a car from me, and if you have any new questions or concerns, come back or call so I can help you, that's why I am here," were Jason's last words to me as he closed my door. Knowing that he means that is important, and his phone number is programed in my phone. Thanks to Jason, I will be traveling with my family in a vehicle that is more comfortable, and even more important, safer!
A couple years ago, my wife leased a car through Caldwell Toyota. She went to talk about a trade in Saturday Jan. 12th. She knew she was a little over... the mileage and expected to have to pay some. They worked out a deal on another car. She traded in her old car and bought another car though them. They worked it out to finance the extra money owed from the lease into the price of the loan on the new car and walked away not paying anything down. She had prepaid a month ahead on the payments and figured she'd be receiving a refund of that payment of $265.00. They told her if there was any credits she would get the money back in 30 days not to worry. She has been calling for weeks asking about the payoff and the refund. Every time she call, there was some excuse about something. Monday when she asked again about it, they said they had originally misfigured what was owed and now they are demanding she pay them an extra $1,200 on top of the $1,740 they already rolled on the new car. The new car is already over the appraised value, which she found out later. We've bought several cars through them over the years and trusted they knew what they were doing and that they were taking care of her. If we had known we were going to owe that much more, we never would have went through with the deal that day, but they assured her everything was ok. Now she's stuck in this car and her other car is gone. We've been scammed. Normally we don't make complaints publicly, because we don't like making trouble but this isn't right and She's been taken advantage of just so they could make a sale. She's worked in real estate for 17 years and if she says if she had made a mistake like this or treated a customer like this, she would be facing the real estate commission. She defiantly would be able to go back after closing on a deal and ask the buyer to come back a pay an extra amount. Since she's the expert in a real estate transaction, she's held accountable to the public. In this case they were the professional and she trusted them to take care of the deal and do the job right. Now, not only is she out her refund, She's asked to pay $1,200 on top of it.
