On 7-9-19 this will be my third time taking my vehicle to the dealership in the last 35 days and it?s still not fixed!
I took my 2017 Suburban in for its 30,000 service. The dealership shuttle took me to work nearby and I returned after 4 hours (as recommended at check... in). Unfortunately there had been a rush on repairs and my vehicle was not ready - before I could begin to get annoyed I was presented with a loaner (brand new Traverse) and was able to keep all my appointments. I picked up the Suburban after 5pm which had been washed and vacuumed. Great service, professional and knowledgeable staff, clean and comfortable customer wait facilities.
My air bag light came on. and the problem was taken care of in 27 minutes. Thanks to Bob Harris and his crew.

I took my car in for warranty service. They couldn?t figure out what was wrong but more importantly they blew me off saying that had done all that they... were going to do. B
Actually I was disappointed. I went in on Black Friday after searching recommended dealers in my area thru USAA. I was told that numerous incentives were... available as Foster Wheeler Employee, Black Friday, GMAC Financing, and another incentive which I can't recall. Plus I has several hundred dollars credit from GM Credit Card. Well the only thing I received was the GM Credit Card discount. The reason I was told due to credit rating, however this was not mentioned beforehand. The vehicle is what I wanted, which I bought, the salesman was my new best friend, but the finance department left a sour taste. I like everyone else hates the car buying experience. Oh yes I was trading my car which was devalued due to minor body damage it was arrived at $900, however trading value was much less. I am happy with the car, yes. Was the salesman professional, yes. Was the deal as we spoke. I should have walked away but I figured most dealers are the same. additionally buying a 2018 is should have been discounted, which it was not. Would I recommend Westside Chevrolet in Houston, seriously NO No No
I would definitely recommend not using this dealership for anything. The experience I had with them showed me they were liars and con-men. The Kia dealership... next door (under the same ownership) took my car to their body shop after it had been in a wreck. They fixed around $10k worth of damage to the front end of my car, and left the transmission bent. It would eventually go bad without me knowing anything was wrong. Once Kia (SugarLand) told me the transmission was not covered under warranty because the issue was caused by the wreck that Westside Chevy fixed, and they wanted $9.5k to fix it, I tried to call Westside to get it fixed. I was on the phone with them 3 times, and was told each time they had no record of me being there. Because they had no records of me being there they could not help. At this point I ended up having to pay $4500 to get it fixed somewhere else because the statute of limitations on the original insurance claim had run out (I did not know this until the new shop was half way through fixing it). After getting it fixed I drove over to Westside to see why they had no records of me being there, and magically they were able to pull up my records as soon as I got there. The manager Melvin told me I should have brought my car there, and they would have taken care of it. I explained that I had tried to multiple times, and he basically called me a liar by saying he didn’t think it would have been possible for one of his guys to tell me I was not in the system. He then said he would talk to the GM to see if there was anything that could be done. He called me 2 weeks later to tell me the GM said it is not their problem even though the issue was caused by them. This is a terrible way to treat customers, and I will never be going back to them or the Kia next door for anything.
I was doing a claim with Statefarm (my insurance) due to my car being vandalized and broken into in the North Side of Houston. I went to Westside Chevy... hoping to get my car repaired but instead I got horrible customer service. Someone by the name of Dan in the Collins Department treated me extremely disrespectful. Instead of relieving some of the stress he took a look at the car and without seen the evidence, existing pictures of the damage, or understanding that there was an exsisting police report (yes police came to the scene when my car was broke into \ hit n run), he insinuated that my car was not damaged. Dan said “I don’t think your car was broken into”. Ha! He actually had the courage to say “I will get someone from the insurance company to come out and view the car, and to be honest you should take it somewhere else because I’m not communicating with you well”. I understand there are procedures that have to be taken place but never should one suggest for you to take business elsewhere if you disagree. Dan said “even though I get paid on commission you should take your car to another mechanic because I don’t understand why your damages look like that”. Naturally feeling irritated and humiliated, after he suggested I take my vehicle to another dealership (while other people were outside listening) I took my vehicle somewhere where an attitude, high voices, and disrespectful comments are not allowed. I would not recommend to anyone EVER Westside Chevy for any type of repairs. If this is how they treat new clients I would hate to know how they treat car repairs. I would give a zero rating but it’s not an option. I am putting this review because employees like Dan should not be working in a customer driven business, because people let these things slide is the reason why nothing happens and bad customer service is allowed. I’m sure if Dan spoke to me the way he did in front of others, he has spoken to many others clients this way before.
