Tonight I walked away with my new Kia Optima! Kevin V. Was seriously amazing! So honest and helpful through the whole process. Jacob D. Was also another great person to work with! The two of them helped me out and made my Kia experience absolutely amazing! If your in the market for a new car, Kevin and Jacobs at Mark Kia are the way to go!!

Good times
I gave 5 stars because 1. Kevin went above and beyond for me & was able to answer all my questions transparently 2. He was fun to do business with, super personable AND professional 3. Walked me through the entire process from start to finish, he even gave me updates on my car as it had a few things that needed to be done before I could drive it off the lot

True Colors
{Please note: the other customer did not have a appointment at the same time and we did not ask Mark Kia to hold the vehicle as Michelle has responded in her reply after our review.} I had my first experience with Mark Kia Scottsdale today. I visited Mark Kia late last night to look at a truck I saw on auto trader and had been working with KJ on earlier in the day over the phone. The truck was in the back of the overflow lot and not accessible. It was dark. We agreed to make an appointment in AM for a test drive. In AM, KJ and I communicated that the truck was out front and I was on my way, respectively. I arrived at Mark Kia and texted KJ that I was outside inspecting the vehicle. Meanwhile, another customer arrived about 10 minutes later. I could tell they were interested in the truck as well from a distance. KJ arrived, said, “good morning” and handed me the keys. At that point the other Customers had made their way over and started their own inspection. I was polite although the circumstance felt competitive. I started the truck and continued a walk around. A young, woman salesperson came out and met with the other customers. It became confusing and I felt interrupted. I went to tell my wife who was in our car with the baby that I was going to take a test drive. Next thing I know the other customer is driving off with the truck. It happened very fast. KJ was obviously confused as well. I later learned the other sales person ran inside and got plates. Apparently at Mark Kia the salesperson that gets the plates first wins. All KJ could say was, “you can test drive it after them.” Maintaining my composure, but upset, I asked if I had first rights to make an offer. KJ had to go ask his manager. KJ came back and told me his manager said, “no. “ I met with Chip McPherson and calmly explained the situation. With his arms crossed and no expression or personality, Chip sternly and with no remorse asked, “do you want to buy the truck, now, before they make an offer?” I said, “I can’t do that.” Chip responded, “there is nothing I can do.” I told Chip that was unethical. Chip repeated his first words verbatim and continued to stare at me with no character. I asked if I could put $500 deposit down. Chip said, “no, there is still no guarantee you will purchase the vehicle.” Feeling violated, I went to my car. The customer had returned and went inside. I test drove the truck and wanted to buy it. When I returned, Mark Kia and the other customer had begun negotiations. Other Mark Kia representatives who obviously were aware of what had happened agreed and verbalized to my wife and I that the situation was unfair and wrong. “It shouldn’t have happened like that,” one other manager type who I met the night before had said as I stood outside debating my options. I left Mark Kia feeling taken advantage of and very disappointed with the poor customer service and aggressive sales environment created by the young woman, salesperson. It was “cut throat.” The right thing to have done is for Mark Kia to have explained to the other customer that I was there first and it is important that they honor their commitment to me. And that in the event I do not purchase the truck, they would be next in line. If I was the other customer, I would have respected that response. The other customer clearly knew I was first. At anytime within the hour, Mark Kia representatives had the opportunity to take ethical action. They did not! Instead, Mark Kia’s and Chip McPherson’s true colors were displayed in a circumstance where Sales superseded professional Customer Service. I have to question Mark Kia’s sales staffs professional training, experience and Code of Conduct/ Ethics designed to reinforce dealers’ personal commitment to quality service and high ethical standards. Later, I did receive a call from Robert, Mark Kia Senior Sales Manager, who extended an apology for my experience and that he would like to earn back my business. I told Robert that I wanted to purchase the truck. He essentially responded, “if the other customer’s deal does not go through, you will be next in line.” Robert later called and said the truck had sold. Thanks Robert! Horrible
After waiting 2hrs for an oil change, I noticed that my vehicle was parked outside. I had to go and ask for the keys otherwise, I would had waited even longer. They didn't gave me any recommendations for my vehicle maintenance. I'm definitely not going back!

New chapter
After owning my last Kia for 12 years it was time for a new car for me. I found this car online and went to check it out in person. I fell in love with it, it feels like the car I’ll have for the next 10 years as well. I’m thankful for Kevin who helped get me financed due to this being my first time buying the car myself. The financing is higher then what I was wanting but for my first loan I understand why. Regardless Kevin helped make the experience feel genuine. Thanks to Kevin for helping me take this one home!

Another Kia for me!
Our experience at Mark Kia was pleasant. Kevin was quite knowledgeable and passionate about his product. The Kia team made an often frustrating experience fun and fast, even making time for a little football smack talk! We are happy with our choice, albeit a little sad to part with our Kia turbo. I always recommend Kias...now I can recommend a dealership and salesman.

Best buying experience and personalized service!
Purchased my 2019 Kia Sorento from Mark Kia and Kevin Veliz was my salesman. I walked in knowing pretty much what I wanted and Kevin pulled out all of the stops to make my purchase processs easy. The dealership arranged to add my tow hitch and have custom wheels put on. Since my purchase six months ago Kevin has checked in on us to see how we like the car and reminded us of upcoming service time points. I would, and do, recommend Mark Kia and Kevin Veliz to everyone!!
