I’ve dealt with several service advisors, and they’ve all been excellent. This visit was routine maintenance, with an additional concern regarding the windshield. John Diaz understood the issue, had a very good suggestion for a fix, and implemented the fix that same visit, which required a detailer to acid clean the glass. John also called out a recall that needed to be addressed, and that was also handled. As with previous visits, it was a very positive experience.

John is very knowledgeable, I highly recommend his service. Courtesy shuttle is fast and convenient. Comparing with Dolan Toyota in Reno, service and overall impression are at the same high standard in both dealerships , but price for identical job quoted at both places was lower in Reno. Still, highly recommend.

Once you buy a car no phone calls to the salesman will be returned. They only goal is to get as much out of you as they can. Once that has been accomplished, they ignore all phone calls regarding further help.

Very pleasant experience when purchasing a used Tacoma I

Very pleasant experience when purchasing a used Tacoma I saw on their website. When my husband and I arrived at the dealership, Hector came out to greet us. We mentioned the vehicle we wanted to see he immediately arranged for us to take it on a test drive. We wanted to compare the purchase price of the Tacoma with two 4-Runners that were available. Hector went over the price and mileage with us. We then determined that the Tacoma would be best for our budget. About three hours later I was able to drive the vehicle home. This was the fifth vehicle I have purchased from Carson City Toyota since 1996.

I hope this review helps to prevent someone else from

I hope this review helps to prevent someone else from having to go through what I’ve gone through as a result of trying to buy a car from Carson City Toyota. On 7/12/25 I went to the Carson City dealership to purchase a 2024, “Gold-certified” vehicle that I had test-driven and put a deposit on, earlier in the week. When I went in to purchase the vehicle on 7/12 they had it blocked in so I couldn’t take it for a second test drive even though it took hours and hours of waiting, contract signing and salesman sad-fishing to get out of there. When everything was finally done, the salesmen suddenly started rushing me to drive it off the lot. They also waited until I signed all the paperwork to tell me that there was only one key (even though it was a 2024). Although I could sense that something was wrong and that the car seemed different when I got into it, I was exhausted after the long day and was happy to finally be going home. It wasn’t until later that evening that I noticed that a bunch of things on the car had either been switched out and replaced with crappier versions, like the tires and the headrests or just completely ripped-off, as every single floor mat was missing. They used the long waiting time to switch out and rip stuff off the car. As if this wasn’t bad enough, as I began to drive the car home and got it up to higher speeds on the freeway, the entire cabin of the car started to vibrate and shake so violently that it felt like the wheels were going to fall off at any second. I had to slow enough to need flashers to try and make it home without it falling apart. That was late Saturday evening on 7/12/25. They were closed on Sunday 7/13/25, so I returned it to the dealership the very next possible day, Monday 7/14/25. As I was told I was buying a “gold certified” vehicle and yet the vehicle ended up feeling so unsafe that I never wanted to set foot in it ever again, the dealership said they would follow up with me after getting approval from the owner to cancel the sale. Here’s how I know they must scam/fraud A-LOT of consumers this way; When I brought the car in to be returned they immediately told me, “Most other states in the US have 3-day return policy on cars, but Nevada doesn’t.” In other words they were saying, “we committed fraud by lying to you about the condition of the vehicle that we sold you but, because we live in Nevada, there’s nothing you can do about it.” After I returned the car, I was told that the service manager “checked it out” and the reason they gave me for why the cabin was shaking so severely was that “the tires needed to be adjusted.” In other words, the tires that they used to replace the ones they ripped off, didn’t fit properly. I’ve had cars in the past that needed to have the tires aligned and balanced and “adjusted.” Never in my life has the need for tire adjustment felt that scary, like the wheels were about to fall off. You would think that safe tires would be a requirement for “Gold-certification.” Despite the fact that the Carson City Toyota Dealership tried to sell me a fraudulent vehicle, I agreed to put the money I paid for the returned vehicle towards the purchase of a brand new vehicle from them. I figured it would be more difficult for them to rip off a brand new vehicle versus a used one. Yeah. Unfortunately, they have now admitted that they also misled me about the value of the car that I returned and that it was actually $11,000 less than I paid for it. So now they’ve let me know that I need to agree to let them keep the $11,000 that they lied to me about, in order to proceed with ordering a new car for me. They’ve had the car I returned to them since 7/14 and it is now a 8/30. I’ve had to hire an attorney for consumer fraud protection and in the meantime I still don’t have a car. Ive had to pay for rental cars and ask for rides from friends and family to get my daughter to school and myself to work. I hope this helps anyone that reads this.

The customer came in to purchase a vehicle after she had put a deposit down. The vehicle was not blocked in it was parked in our delivery bay where all cars are parked after being cleaned and waiting for delivery. To think we switched equipment while she was in finance is absolutely ridiculous and insulting and not how we do business. The vehicle did have a vibration, and it was corrected by a wheel weight the service manager drove to confirm the issue was resolved. A gold certified vehicle has nothing to do with floor mats, We could have provided a second key but this is the first I have ever heard about 1 key or the ridiculous accusation of switching parts and we have had numerous texts, emails and conversations none of this was brought up. We did speak about options and I did ask about returning the vehicle but I also let you know we could not as you signed a contract and the vehicle now belongs to the bank and that you are finically responsible there has been no lying by your own proof it clearly states you still own the vehicle and we would be taking it in on trade for an incoming unit. You guys asked about a 3 day return I told that is not possible, but we can take it in on trade any money you gave us was a downpayment for the 4Runner and went to the bank. We did not keep any of it. We have been working on the customers’ timeline, and the incoming unit is not due until October again the customer is still financially responsible for her vehicle, as far as hiring attorney your husband has mentioned many times, he is a contract lawyer. The customer made this purchase while her husband was out of town, and we believe it has created an issue between them and now she wants to make the dealership look bad. At his point I do not think we want to do business with this customer we will release the incoming unit and request that she picks up her vehicle.

Been with them since 1989.

Been with them since 1989. Always a great dealership and service through the years and vehicles we have purchased from them.

Carson City Toyota offer a superb sales experience from

Carson City Toyota offer a superb sales experience from beginning to end. I recently purchased a 2025 4Runner at this dealership. Congratulations on offering a first class service (and I know a good dealer sales experience - as I was formerly CEO of one of the largest companies that appraises auto dealers in terms of sales and market performance). In particular I must mention our sales person Jon Paul, who was the key member in the entire process. Incredibly personable, patient, trusting and caring. Thank you Jon.
