We appreciate you taking the time to let others know what being a guest with Koons Tysons Toyota is like! We are so pleased we could deliver exceptional service from start to finish. Thanks so much, Segundina!

You were warned!! Read YELP- it’s true

I should’ve taken the time to review Yelp ratings. I have purchased for Toyotas, all from dealers and have never had such a horrible experience. Let’s start with the sales game, unable to give you a quote on a trading in less you are ready to purchase a car. How would we know if they’re ready to purchase a car unless they know the value of their trade? Returned to weeks later with title in hand. Reviewed for different vehicles, test drive took about 15 minutes, we only drove two. It’s imperative that you document the condition, features, floormat, tire bolts, cupholders, how many keys, I’m pretty much inspect the car with a fine tooth comb before going to the closing table. When she arrive at the financing department expect to spend 3 1/2 to 4 hours. I arrive from my appointment at 4:15, I drove cars for less than 30 minutes and left the dealership at 9:30 pm. Cars being sold at this location should be investigated by Toyota for quality control and diminishing the value of the Toyota Corporation. Do you not take possession-if you purchase this car in Tysons Corner Virginia you were covered by a 72 hour Virginia law called a sales agreement. For any reason that you wish to cancel the agreement, you may do so by contacting the corporation headquarters in writing!!! I think it by sending two emails and calling the store manager I was covered, that’s not the case. Here are a few notes about the car that I purchased: I told the sales rep that a bed cover for the truck was necessary:” it will cost $500 and they could do it any time.” Sorry that we were off by $500, we are sorry. The car you sold me is missing all of the mats, you told me the cars came with mats. “ no Sarah, we do not remove any item from the car but I can give you some mats” I happily excepted the mat while they looked for the ones that were removed from the car which got stuck under the gas pedal. Eventually after calling the dealership four times, three promises later in two weeks later some generic Tacoma maps showed up. Expired tags: Know that it is your responsibility to keep track of the expired tags when the vehicle fails to pay off the previous loan in a timely manner. That is correct, you might be purchasing a car where they don’t even have possession of the title!!! I was pulled over two times, once in DC and once in Maryland with expired tags…, #koonsway It’s been four weeks and we are still waiting on the loan paid off so Coons can acquire tags, had no clue that I was buying a car that not been paid off the dealer. When purchasing your car ask if it has one or two keys, if they see it has two keys, ask when the owner is going to return the other key. I was told the owner was going to drop the key off in a day or two, it was nowhere to be found and when I requested the key it was going to cost $350!!! After making four phone calls, and contacting customer relations they agreed to give me a key. Factory installed equipment may be removed and will not be reviewed during your purchase agreement time. The tiedown bolts from the back of the bed were removed, I took it to another Toyota dealer and they said that no one would be taking these off without the correct equipment. Solution, “you purchased a used car so……. “ I have been told by the general manager and customer care is that I purchased a used car, a 2 year-old used car for $52,000 which sold a over KBB in mint condition!! Oh one last thing, must’ve had some type of issue with the front foglight‘s, one is upside down so it’s only legible if you’re leaning over the hood. I would gladly pay to return the vehicle, this dealership should not be trusted and has a proven track record of being sketchy. I’m sooo mad I did t read the YELP reviews! Jason H. And if Toyota is reading this, don’t contact me because I would rather pay to fix the car than deal with your attitude, incompetence, and endless games.

DO NOT RISK BUYING A CAR FROM KOONS TOYOTA Purchased a supposed "certified" Toyota from Koon's after bringing home the car to my shock the battery was covered in corrosion in addition within a week the AC stopped blowing cool air. I got the AC serviced however when summer hit my AC was still not cold. As far as my battery concern they told me batteries just do that however the car only had 30k miles and they never did anything for me. Now not even a year later I got stranded and now have to buy a new battery. I called Koons and told them about this issue again and how now the bettery is dead and how I was concered about it last year when I first bought the car however they were no help, just tried to sell me a new battery.

Derek - I am so sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your vehicle. This certainly sounds like a frustrating situation. Per our conversation yesterday morning, the battery had a 4-year lifespan which is normal and we would like to work on pricing with you. We value our guests and would like to retain you as a lifetime customer. Would you please give me a call at your earliest convenience? I look forward to helping. I already tried callinig but it got nowhere and I was told to "go ahead and leave a review" even though you knew it was not going to be a bad one. The staff at Koons clearly does not seem to care about their cusomers issues and would rather recieve a bad review then correct an issue.

My sales person, Mert (Max) Vatansever was extraordinary. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, responsive and kind. He quickly answered my questions and expedited the sales process. He also followed up with me on two occasions after the sale to see how I liked my new car and to ensure I had no additional questions about it's functions/operating it. A true professional! I hope Toyota values his service as much as I appreciated it!

Would not recommend purchasing a used car here. They really try to take advantage of the customer. I purchased a 2013 Toyota sienna from this dealer and was not happy at all with the buying experience. They try to sell you all these warranties and maintenance plans without even asking you if you want them. When I asked about all these extra charges, they just assumed I wanted them. When I asked what the maintenance warranty covers, they had no idea. They tried to tell me it covered all the recommend service in the owners manual, wich is not true. The maintenance warranty, for $989., Covers 4oil changes and 8 tire roations.if I purchased those individually at the dealership$, 80 an oil change and $35 a tire r.otation, that would only cost me $600. Also the van at pickup was not detailed properly, there was dirty shoe prints in the carpet and wrappers in cup holders. The van was not properly inspected by their technician, hence the van needed both cv axles replaced. Overpriced, scam artists. Oh, and they had the nerve to try to upsell me $800 of recommend service when I brought it in for a oil change, a month after I just bought it. Toyota should be ashamed of this dealer.
