After explaining the problem and what I'd already tried
After explaining the problem and what I'd already tried towards fixing it, they took a practical and cautious approach to keep the immediate costs to a minimum. I was very pleased with this kind of action, rather than just going full speed ahead and possibly creating a bigger problem. We're keeping an eye on things for now knowing that there will probably be more work to be done as the root problem becomes better identified.

I really like the convience to my home of the dealership,
I really like the convience to my home of the dealership, the communication from the service writer and clean work done to my 2016 Chevy Volt, I brought it in for work to be able to pass a smog check. I paid $3000 plus for the work, the check engine light was off and I was ready to get a smog check, the problem is I still had two monitors that were not current, and was not able to get my certificate, I was told to do drive cycles, my service writer told me I have to drive the car to get the monitors to come on, I did drive I did as I was told, take it back for retest and a P0420 code pops and my check engine light is back on. This could as simple as a O2 sensor but could be another expensive repair of a catalytic converter. Had the Volt Tech cleared all the monitors I could have had my smog check and not now be stuck with a potential expensive repair to be honest after spending $3000 I can't really afford. I really like the dealership and wish that on 15 January when I brought it back they would have had the Volt Tech check it out and get all the monitor drive cycles monitors corrected, even do the drive cycles, if a smog Tech can find them the Volt Tech should have cleared them. I am really bummed about because I like the service writer but I feel like I am screwed now. I really want to be able to give the dealership a better review, but I am super frustrated by this experience. I love my Volt, it is an amazing car, I get this smog certificate and I will be happy for the next 2yrs.
