I came into commonwealth not knowing the first thing about leasing a car. Holly was so incredibly helpful and made the process so easy and smooth! He explained how leasing a car works and showed me my options. I love my car so much. I have the brand new 2015 Jetta SE in white! I couldn't be happier.

I never take the time to write reviews, but I have never had such a positive experience buying a car ever. I have to credit SHAWN for our positive experience! I initially looked at their online prices ( I recommend doing that before you go in so you know what's currently available), and I guess was assigned to Jim? I just went in to the dealership and didn't schedule an appointment with him (Sorry Jim!) but when I met him later not only was he cordial, but he was also extremely helpful and nice. He even gave us this nice VW keychain which made me feel like less of a jerk for not contacting him before coming in. Shawn showed us lots of cars, and was very straightforward with us with price, value, etc. He never once was pushy about buying, and didn't rush us to make any decisions. I hate hard sells, so that wouldn't have worked well with us anyways, but still I liked his laid back style and positive attitude. As for the dealership itself, I will say that their used cars on the lot that aren't VW's are ok, but if you look at the certified VW pre-owned they have up front you get a much better deal! Factory warranty plus another two years I think, plus price typically has some built in equity in the cars. I looked up the values on KBB and truecar to make sure the prices were fair, and the car actually booked higher then what they were selling it for. Shawn told us there wasn't any wiggle room on the cars as far as price was concerned, but he still managed to take car of all of our concerns and worked with us to make the deal work. We went in with financing from our bank so the purchasing process didn't take long, and even the financing guys were really great. We ended up finishing with Erik (sorry if I spelled that wrong), who was funny and made the process quick and easy. I bought a used 2012 Passat, black exterior and beige interior and honestly I love it. This is the 6th brand car I've had, with everything ranging from old Chevrolets to new BMW's and I think this is the best car I've ever owned. I'm not exaggerating though when I say that Shawn MADE OUR EXPERIENCE!! I've had bad sales reps, decent sales reps, and good sales reps, and Shawn was by far the best my wife and I have ever had. In all honesty, we probably bought the car because of him. haha Anyways, Thanks Shawn for such a great experience, and everyone at VW Commonwealth! We'll be back!

Shawn is by far the most enjoyable person I have ever negotiated a new car with. I finally ditched my BMW and bought a Passat TDI SEL from him last Friday and I'll be recommending him to my friends. He is friendly, knows his business and is able to personalized your needs so you dont feel like just a number. I walked away with a new car and I felt good about it. My husband liked him also. Before stepping into the dealership, I was seriously considering two other cars but the service received at the dealership was exceptional and made the difference for me (also compared to another Volkswagen dealer I went to).
