I recently purchased a 2021 BMW 430i convertible from this dealership. Two weeks have passed since I drove it off the lot, but I am still deeply worried and stressed, and I feel compelled to share my experience about the unprofessional and predatory tactics in the finance office of Stevens Creek BMW. I test drove the car and I instantly knew that I wanted it, as it was representing everything I knew about the brand: drivability, quality, and luxury. The car was truly amazing and an absolute joy to drive, which is why I put my deposit down right away without any hesitation. While the sales process was fine, my experience with the finance department was completely unacceptable. During the financing phase, the finance manager, Lionel Lee, used extreme high-pressure scare tactics to try and sell me an extended warranty bundled with a service contract. I explicitly stated that I would pass on the bundle, but Mr. Lee refused to take no for an answer. He crossed the line when he stopped describing the product and started manufacturing imaginary failure modes with thousands of dollars in damage. He told me that the vehicle I was buying could fail at any time, quoting potential engine failures of $5,000 to $8,000. When I asked him if the car was truly that unreliable, and if I should just buy a Toyota Camry instead, he realized he had gone too far. Seeing that he had caused genuine distress and confusion, and that I was ready to walk away from the car, Mr. Lee completely pivoted. To smooth things over, he suddenly revealed that the "bundle" wasn't mandatory at all—he unbundled the package on the spot and offered the service contract on its own, which sounded like a very good offer. This was not an isolated incident or simply an overzealous sales pitch. Public review records on platforms like DealerRater reveal a documented history of deceptive, high-pressure financial schemes in this office. In September 2025, a customer explicitly named Lionel Lee for attempting to covertly slide an unauthorized $3,800 extended warranty into their contract after it had been declined, going so far as to alter the loan term to 72 months to mask the price increase before giving them a months-long runaround on the cancellation. Furthermore, this predatory behavior is not limited to a single individual; it is a department-wide culture. In February 2024, another buyer documented how finance manager Armin Javadi explicitly coerced them into purchasing a maintenance plan by aggressively withholding their independent company rebate until they signed. Seeing that these finance managers routinely rely on manipulation, contract deception, and calculated fear-mongering to hit their quotas proves that this is a systemic, trained business practice. As a lifetime enthusiast whose family has owned BMWs, I have always had a deep appreciation for the brand. Therefore, I find it incredibly unprofessional to manufacture panic, distress a customer, and insult the quality of BMW's own engineering just to push a product sale. It completely ruined what should have been a proud buying experience. I have spent the first days of ownership questioning my choice, being unable to enjoy the ride because any vibration in the car translates into a failure in my mind and ended actually walking to work, stressed about what might happen to the car and how much it might cost me. My newly bought BMW — which was supposed to be a magnificent piece of engineering made to be driven — is sitting in my garage and I am frustrated about its quality, reliability, and true value, wondering if I should have bought a Camry… I am deeply disappointed by the predatory behavior of the finance team at Stevens Creek BMW… Buyers beware of the finance team there, think carefully if you really need that extended warranty - and remember, package deals can be unbundled.

I have been Looking for a Used Audi Q6 E-tron Prestige with low miles was just listed at Stevens Creek BMW. I quickly contacted the Dealer and this Audi just came in on trade. I called the BMW dealer and spoken with Alec Kisin - BMW internet Sales. I explained that I was located in Washington State and was very much intrested in buying the car. Once I have obtained the airline tickets Stevens Creek BMW agreed to hold the car for me and I flew out the next day for a test drive, purchase and 900 mile drive back home. #1 Alec was very easy to work with. The car was in New Condition and on top of that a great price. #2 Harres Asefi - Finance Manager again easy to work with. Contract was already written for me. In summary: -Great Car! -Great Price! -Great People! -Easy to do Business with! Thanks Again, Guy Cheek

I recently visited Stevens Creek BMW and was very disappointed by the lack of transparency around pricing. After agreeing on a vehicle price, the final paperwork included unexpected “optional” charges for Advantage Theft Protection and Permaplate. These add-ons were never clearly disclosed or explained as optional until I asked about them directly. After multiple follow-ups, the dealership finally acknowledged that these charges were optional and assured me they would call back to correct the issue. Unfortunately, that call never came. What could have been a smooth and enjoyable buying experience turned into a frustrating cycle of unreturned calls and unfulfilled promises. For a luxury brand like BMW, I expected integrity and honest communication. I’d strongly recommend that anyone considering this dealership review every line item carefully and get all commitments in writing before finalizing their purchase.
