I was very politely helped by the service dept reception and the problem was resolved by the service dept personnel. However, the reason I was there was an issue with the front radar behind the plastic grid. It had been detached from its securing bolts with absolutely no indication of any damage to the front of the car. I was informed by one Honda Rep that this was a common complaint and implied that was because of a design miscalculation in the placement of the radar considering the flexible front bumper, and grid, to soften any frontal impact. However, if the radar can be dislodged from its mounting without a frontal impact, this is a design fault! I have taken this up with Honda Customer Services and am awaiting a response. I was advised to do this by the service personnel at Executive Honda. I believe the high cost of repair should have been covered by the extended warranty I had taken out on the car. Very happy with the Honda staff but very unhappy with the design of the car and its positioning of the front radar!
