I went into executive Honda and knew exactly what
I went into executive Honda and knew exactly what vehicles I was interested in. I ended up purchasing a 2025 Ridgeline with under 4000 miles. I had previously done their assessment online for my car trade value and it was valued at $22,000 with fair condition. After they reviewed my car they only offered 16k but then adjusted to 18k. This was disappointing, but was glad they did increase it slightly. If the car trader online is that off, then I would consider not even putting it on there. It’s essentially false advertising. My sales guy was Brandon, although he is very nice and the vehicle that I was interested in was available and he took me on a test drive. During the test drive we discussed several things including warranties, I asked why they don’t certify any of their vehicle with low miles in which he explained and told me that it would be roughly $1000 to put a warranty on the truck. At the end of the day the warranty was $3500 so that’s a substantial difference from what he told me. I also noticed the original paperwork that they gave me saying what the car would cost, what my down payment and my trade would be included their armor protection. I told him I did not want that and he said I didn’t need to take it and that at the end when I went over financing that would be an option. This was not the case, when I got to the final part with all of my signed paperwork they told me that they could not undo it because they had already put it on the truck and that they could not remove it at this point. I did let them know that Brandon had told me that it would be removed, however there still was nothing they could do on their end. The gentleman who did all of my paperwork was fantastic very personable, he seemed to genuinely care. I do really like the truck, the seat protection however was not applied well in certain areas and has now left several white marks on my seat. I would still buy another car, however I do think more eduction should be made regarding the add on that are offered.
