I took my car to the Springfield Acura rout 22 dealership

I took my car to the Springfield Acura rout 22 dealership for a black screen on the infotainment system and an oil change. When I went there, they told me they will have to do a diagnostic for $159.00 and let me know what is wrong.  After about 3 hours the service rep came and got me and told me that the car was fixed. He said they did a hard reset, and the black screen went away and it’s $285. They never asked me if I wanted to do a hard reset, and I did not sign any paperwork for the work. I paid the money and left. Next morning, I got into the car and started it, and the screen was black again. When I called them to let them know, they told me I will have to replace the system and it cost $3,531.00.  I asked them what I paid $285.00 for, and they told me it’s for the work that was done. The receipt showed Labor $215.00 Parts $29.00 shop supplies $3:48 Plus taxes. It also showed a windshield washer top off - that was a big LIE. Reason being, I did not want them to put their washer fluid because I had bought 2 bottles of Costco rain X that I topped off before going there. I did not use it on the drive there, so there was no room to top off.  I am now concern that the oil change may be the same as the washer top off. After paying $285.00 I turned off the car, turned it back on and the hard reset they claim to have done did not work and when I called them they said the $285.00 will go towards replacing the infotainment unit.

Have been bringing my ‘19 MDX here for routine.

Have been bringing my ‘19 MDX here for routine. Servicing , brakes etc.. My last service appt was simple- oil change and tire rotation. Get my car and go…all service done. Stop to gas up a few miles away and I notice that the tires were never rotated and the oil filter looks old but wiped clean. I call the service dept immediately but they are closed. Phone call after phone call over the following week goes in returned until I finally get in touch with Joshua who promises to request my refund and get back to me. Joshua never calls back and phone calls to other reps and managers get voicemail but no responses. Finally I dispute the charge with my credit card and bingo I get an immediate call back. Unprofessional, dishonest, and not trustworthy.

Striped oil pan plug.

Took my 2009 Acura MDX in for an oil change at Springfield Acura NJ. They completely striped the oil pan bolt. Now I have to replace the oil pan, possibly the exhaust. They refuse to take responsibility.

ABSOLUTE SCAM ARTISTS!

ABSOLUTE SCAM ARTISTS!!!!! I just bought my 3rd car from this place and I will never buy from there again. Carlos the salesman is great but the manager and finance manager are scam artists. Not only did they lie to me about how much they were giving me for my trade in, they also lied to me about how much I was paying for the car. They somehow finagled me into paying more than the sticker price when I was told I was paying less. On top of all that, they charged me 10% interest and I have a 752 fico credit score. No dealer in America does that. HIGHWAY ROBBERY. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here unless you want to get robbed. And if they’re the only Acura dealership who has the car you want, just go to another one and have them get it from them for you.

STAY CLEAR OF THE FINANCE MANAGER MANNY LAZO!!!!

I have leased over 8 vehicles between Richard Passananti and another salesman by the name of Leo Daniels (rest in peace) who has since passed. All of my experiences with Leo & Richard have been or were professional, experienced, informative, honest and easy going. So I just leased my latest new vehicle from Springfield Acura, a 2023 MDX Tech on 4/25/2023. The entire experience was a pleasure up until the day came to pick up my new vehicle. At some point in my pick up experience a finance manager by the name of Manny Lazo (who by the way has no business cards – since I asked I guess… how unprofessional) but this man is a straight up liar. STAY CLEAR OF MANNY LAZO if you shop at Springfield Acura. I had shopped around at various Acura dealerships because even though Richard Passananti is an amazing salesman, I am a business women, an investor and this current car market is bonkers and super expensive post the COVID pandemic – so I wanted to ensure that I had the best deal. But back to Manny Lazo. MANNY LAZO LIKES TO PLAY THE “BAIT & SWITCH” SALES TACTIC, which is a form of fraud and seems to happen a lot in the automobile industry. He knowingly and intentionally gave me fraudulent data stating that my credit tier was MUCH LOWER than it really was. Manny lied and stated that I was tier 5 when 2 other dealerships had already proven & confirmed that I was a tier 2/3. Even my salesman Richard P, of Springfield Acura, had confirmed my credit score and credit tier level the Thursday prior, April 20th, 2023 – during my initial visit, in which my credit was ran, the monthly payment was negotiated and agreed upon by both parties, Acura and I, and my car delivery date, which was 5 days after my initial visit, April 25th, 2023. Manny Lazo, the finance manager, swept in on the transaction at the last minute in hopes that his “unfortunate news/my lower credit tier” was going result in an increase in my monthly car payment of “no more than $25 more per month” If Manny’s information was accurate I would have just rolled with the punches and accepted the “new information” on the day of pick up. But what Manny did not know was that I was texting and communicating with another Acura dealership getting verification that proved otherwise, simultaneously while he was feeding me this crap. I am a smart shopper so I was one step ahead of him. After I informed Manny of this – my credit tier magically went from a 5 to a “3” within 10 minutes max – but still not back to the 2 that all other dealerships stated that I fell into not a tier “3”. I can’t make this stuff up. Manny’s involvement in the deal was SOOOOOOOOOO SHADY!!!! I have NEVER had an experience with a finance manager in 27 years, like I did with Manny. And just to think – before he knew that I was more knowledgeable than he thought I was… he was actually trying to challenge me regarding the inaccuracy of the credit tier information and then attempted to proceed on to see what additional accessories options/plans I may be interested in. lol… is he crazy? I was pissed, close to walking away from the deal, very very very very offended that he would challenge my intelligence the way he did. I just wanted to get out of that dealership. Manny straight up lied, making a good day go from good to bad and a day in which I should have been celebrating go from happy to sad. Interacting with Manny killed the entire vibe. I just thank God for additional info and outside support from the other Acura dealerships because providing fraudulent & invalid credit tier information to potential customers in an attempt to get a higher monthly payment out of them is not cool… IT’S FRAUD & UNETHICAL so BEWARE when interacting with Manny Lazo!!!

Horrible customer service

Since I leased the vehicle in Oct 2020, the brakes have been squeaking really loud every morning and whenever you start the vehicle after it has been sitting for a few hours. I have made several complaints to the dealer every time I go in for service, they continue to brush me off stating “you’re not the only one with that concern”. Most reps including the manager states Acura is waiting for a recall. It’s been years! They are accepting my payments every month but cannot address my concerns regarding this vehicle I’m leasing from them. I need a resolution as to how they can accommodate me for not enjoying the car I’m paying for.

I purchased a certified car 11-7-22 and on the 14th

I purchased a certified car 11-7-22 and on the 14th contacted the dealer to let them know that one of the tires was dry rotted and had a bubble on it. Went to the dealer on the 15th and Anthony Bruce told me that the cracked tire was caused by ArmorAll and there was nothing they could do the tire is ok.

Purchased a certified 2019 Acura ILX on November and not

Purchased a certified 2019 Acura ILX on November and not even a week later notice that one tire was bad and return to the Dealer so they fix the problem but they took in the shop and the shop Manager said that it was good and that they would replace it so what that means is that Springfield Acura does not stand behind what they sell so Be careful if you buy anything from them also this was my second car that I bought there and was planning on buying another one for my Daughter but will not be returning to Springfield Acura

Consumer response

Still have not heard from them to make things right that’s the the kind of dealership it it

Andrei and Felipe both provided me with the best-in-class

Andrei and Felipe both provided me with the best-in-class customer experience when getting my new Acura Integra. I went to trade in my ILX, and he came to me with an offer that made me happy and was at Kelly blue book value, which I appreciated. He was also responsive on his day off and went the extra mile to ensure I was happy with my purchase and options. I previously went to a different Acura dealership but will only buy my car from Andrei and my friends at Springfield Acura. Felipe hooked it up with good coverage for maintenance for four years. I really felt taken care of and valued as a customer. That’s hard to find these days with the chip shortage going on. A lot of other car dealerships I went to were standoffish, but Andrei and Felipe both respected that it’s still a big decision regardless of the ongoing inventory issues. I’m super happy with my experience and brand-new baby. Thank you!
