I went to Wayne Mazda and got to work with James Vrindten. Great experience, James was very knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend him to anyone wanted to get a car from this dealership!

Went to purchase a car that was listed at 24,525 and when

Went to purchase a car that was listed at 24,525 and when I asked for the purchase order the overall price somehow became 29,800. The first thing on the purchase order that stuck out was that the price of the vehicle itself went from 24,525 to 26,020 and there was no explanation. When I asked about it, the salesman said it was a charge of 1,495 for the Mazda CPO warranty. I told him that I didn’t want to purchase a warranty from him and that I would get one from my credit union. To this he replied that I have to pay for his warranty because it is attached to all CPO Mazdas. The next section of the purchase order was titled aftermarket purchases and had two items each costing 399. One was for anti-theft etching and the other was for a paint sealant. Again I said I didn't want those options and again he said I had no choice because they come with the car. Next thing that stood out was them charging 1,214 in fees. 799 for the document fees and 415 for the title and registration. I did not argue any of these charges, I simply took note and told him I wanted to finance through my credit union and I would be in touch. He then told me I had to put down a 500 deposit for them to hold the car, which is understandable, so I gave him a check. After I gave him the check he went to get me a receipt and came back with his manager who tried to strong arm me into financing through them. First the manager asked me what APR I was getting from my credit union so I told him. To this he responded “I can match it”. I then asked him if that meant he can give me something lower. He said no the best he could do is to give me the same rate as my credit union and that he couldn’t even guarantee that it would be as low as their offer. So then I told him there’s no point in having him run my credit and lower my credit score if he can’t beat their rate or even promise to match it. Then he lies and says it won’t affect my credit score. When I called him out on the lie he said it would only go down about 5 points (another lie). Then he continued to go back and forth with me trying to make me fill out their credit application. Once he finally let it go I told them again that I would be in touch with them the following day. When I got home I did some research on all of the fees they were trying to charge me. According to the official Mazda website, all CPO Mazdas do in fact come with a warranty attached but that warranty is included in the price of the vehicle and the consumer does not have to pay any extra cost for it. The same goes for the anti-theft etching and paint sealant. Those two aren’t even aftermarket options, they are done at the factory when the car is made. This means that Wayne Mazda is routinely charging people 2,293 for something that comes included with the car at no extra cost. As far as the dealer fees they are charging 799 when the avg dealer in NJ charges 500. They also charge 415 for a title and registration when that service only costs about 150. The following morning I called a couple other Mazda dealerships to see if they charge for the same things Wayne Mazda does. Surprise, every Mazda salesperson I spoke to confirmed the warranty, etching and paint sealant were free with the vehicle. They also confirmed that i should only be paying around 150 for the tags and title. This further proves that Wayne Mazda is essentially stealing upwards of 2,500 from each customer who buys a CPO Mazda from them. After doing my research, I called the salesman at Wayne Mazda and questioned him about everything. He had no real answer about the document and registration fees and his only response to the warranty and “aftermarket options” was that they are allowed to charge for it since they disclose it on their website. He insisted none of the charges could be removed so I asked for a refund. He then attempted to deposit the check anyway so I had to dispute it with my bank.

This is yet another dealership that leaves cars listed

This is yet another dealership that leaves cars listed that they do not have available (and, for all I know, never did). This type of dealership makes me dislike the online buying process.

Bad experience.

Bad experience. Sales was terrible. Overall I just wouldn’t not recommend shopping there. In a nutshell after all the work. I am driving with a temp plate because Their manager claims he hasn’t had time to go to DMV. Ridiculous. Nelson also tells me I should be ok driving around with an expired plate. Not a reputable company. How can they blatantly tell me to break the law!!! U have to use this vehicle to get to work. I hope the cop buys Nelson’s theory when I get pulled over.

Buyer Beware

Checked their website for inventory on a CX-30. Showed that the model I was interested in was in transit. I was strongly encouraged to put a deposit down and that it "should" be in by April 24. I set my expectations that the vehicle would not be in by April 24, when I followed up I was told it would be in by the 1st of the month. Of course it wasn't but then I was told that it was in port and just was waiting to be delivered. When I asked for specific dates I was given the run around and in a classic "bait and switch" move was told there were more expense vehicles in stock. Eventually contacted Mazda USA and was told May was "Documented Delivery" day top the dealer for the VIN car that I had put a deposit on. When I called to follow up on May 8 I was told by sales manager Jason Remache that they were doing renovations at the dealership, they could not get all the cars they wanted, it was a popular model and that I could possibly wait a couple of months for a vehicle. Complete run around, shady practices including "bait and switch" type offers. Mazda needs to change the listing of vehicles on the website. It says In Transit and At Dealer. At Dealer leads you to believe it is phyically AT THE DEALER. That is not the case. It just another opportunity to get you to commit and then switch to a higher priced vehicle. Ironically, after a completed a smooth purchase transaction with Kia I received a message that the vehicle I had requested may be available. A miraculous reduction from months to days of waiting.

Stay far away from Wayne Mazda.

This is an update to an earlier review. We bought a new Mazda CX30 in early March. We are out of state buyers from Connecticut. Took the car home with temporary NJ tags that were good until April 13. We were promised the CT registration would be taken care of and mailed to us BEFORE the temp tags expired. This was not the case. We now have a new vehicle with expired tags that we are unable to drive or register because Wayne Mazda refuses to do the work to get this fixed. They use a 3rd party company(Beacon) to handle out of state registrations, and as of today, April 25, they have not sent even a single document to Connecticut to get our car registered. Now I am forced to rent a car to drive because I cannot even get temp. plates in state because the title has not been issued. Been buying new cars for 40 years. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had.

Stephen Zagoric is the BEST salesperson!!!

Amazing Experience with buy/leasing car #4 with Stephen!!! What a fanstactic, caring person! Stephen sold two of my daughters their first Mazda's- 2021 CX-5 and 2022 CX-30. Yesterday, my husband purchased a CPO 2021 Turbo CX-5 and today I picked up my 2023 CX- 50 Premium Plus Turbo. I can't say enough about how Stephen continues to go the extra mile to please his customers!!!! Stephen once again made the purchasing experience something extra special!!! We look forward to many years of driving our family of Mazda's. ZOOM ZOOM
