My F150 2013 has been in their service dept since Jan, I had a problem with something killing my battery, after 2 diagnostic checks On 3/15 they finally got back to me and said that I had a a Crack in my tail light that was the issue. Then 2 months later they called me back and said it was a module issue. A month later they called me back and said the module they put in had a recall. A month ago they called again and said that they got the new part in and was putting in, at 10a.m I got that call, they said after they put that part they will call me back by 12, i never received a call. I reached out 3 weeks later to see what was going on, I was called a week later, where I was told that the part is in and something else is going wrong so they need to do another diagnostic which I will be charged for. It's now July 3rd and still no call. Mind u while during all this time I have received 5 calls asking if I wanted to trade in my truck which I have not seen for 7 months. This is jus horrible customer service.

I first called Five Star Stone Mountain Ford due to a

I first called Five Star Stone Mountain Ford due to a check engine light. I could not pass emissions, and so therefore, I could not tag my car. I had already bought 2 OEM catalytic converter‘s, 4 O2 sensors, and 6 spark plugs. A local mechanic put these on. The check engine light still would not go off. It’s important to note that the only time that my check engine light will go off is if I reset it with a handheld diagnostic tool, or by taking it to AutoZone to have them reset it. There were also a couple of recalls on my car that I needed to get fixed. I also one of my oil changed, and for them to fix my tire sensor. I explained all of this to Don Alexander, who is a service advisor. He then advised me that it would be $200 to put my car on the diagnostic computer to see why my check engine light was so persistent. I agreed. I pulled into the garage with my check engine light still on and left it with them. A few days later, they called me to let me know that I could pick my car up. When I picked up my car, the check engine light was off. I was so relieved. He had also completed the recalls, give me a oil change, and fix my tire sensor. I went to try to pass emissions as soon as I could. Emissions failed, again. When I called Don to inform him that I had failed another emissions test, he suggested that I drive my car 80 to 100 miles and then try again. I filled up my car with gas and attempted to drive 100 miles. I drove 30 miles, and my check engine light came back on. When I called Don to inform him what happened, he told me to bring the car back up there. I did. He didn’t informed me that he did not know what I needed from him as they had already fixed the recalls and gave me a oil change. I explain that the whole reason why I brought my car to him in the first place was because of my check engine light. He actually wrote it on the invoice. He then said, that when I left my car with him, the check engine light was off. It was not. The only way my check engine light goes off is if it’s reset. After going back-and-forth with him for a few minutes, he finally admitted that someone in his crew reset the check engine light before it got to him. Why would they do that before they put it on the diagnostic machine? Regardless, he felt like he did not need to put my car on the diagnostic machine if there was no check engine light, so he did not. I was devastated and confused. He did nothing at all for my check engine light. When I explained that my check engine light was the main reason why I brought my car in, he became very belligerent with me and told me that there was nothing else that they could do for me. He sarcastically told me that I should not have had OEM Cats installed, and that the only thing that they could offer was to replace those with Motorcraft catalytic converter’s. Fords brand. The cost, he said, $2000 and $3000 apiece, pluse labor. I needed 2. I am a single grandma. I turned away from the smirk on his face, and walked out of that place feeling like I had been failed. I could not understand why he did not run a diagnostic on my check engine light, as he as he had promised. Even if the light was not on when he began to check it, I feel he should’ve still checked it, is, it was the very reason why I brought my car to him in the first place. Don Alexander was not good to me. He did not take care of me or move in the best interest for me and my car. This Ford dealership is right around the corner from me. I will not be returning. When I need work done on my phone again, I will drive right past them and go to the next nearest Ford dealership that I can find.

The team at Five Star Ford made the whole truck buying process pain free. I have worked with other car dealers in the Atlanta area and these folks are the best.
