Both good and bad
There were good & bad parts to my service encounter. I am a travel nurse & Nelson Mazda was giving free oil changes & car cleaning for healthcare providers as a thank you during the Coronavirus pandemic. When I took my Nissan SUV in for an oil change they did a free inspection & found I had a nail in my tire & needed an alignment. I approved for them to go ahead & do both. Somehow they ruined my tire while patching the nail hole. They did admit that it was their fault & offer to replace the tire free of charge. However, they didn't have my tire available so had to order one rather than get one from in town somewhere. There is multiple Nissan dealerships where I'm at. It took 4 days to get the tire to them. They did give me a loaner in the mean-time. They did not call & update me during these 4 days but did give updates when I called to see what was going on. They were all very nice & professional. Service was quick up until having to wait on the tire. My car was never cleaned out & this was the main reason I took it there. In the end they did not charge me for the alignment either.

I have done this too many times.....the Nelson Mazda folks are just what one would want at a car dealer. Competent, congenial, friendly and very accommodating to meet one’s schedule. I have bought, sold and traded 5 Mazdas over the past 7 years and they have always been there for me. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Ripped Off on Remote Start
Told EVERYONE I met at the dealership safety was a concern. A remote start for my 27 yr old petite daughter that parks in Vanderbilt's parking garage was important -- top on the list. The car chosen didn't have it but as an NO PROBLEM add-on for $800.00..... Well for $800 you only get one key fob and to replace it is another $500! I need two and was never told about only getting one especially after SERVICE and SALES REP asked for both keys -- RIPPED OFF! The hood's paint job is still rough after a 2nd detail. I'm concerned about paint adhesion! We left in the dark so we didn't see a major scrap in the sidewall of one of the front tires. I asked to have it replaced and NO LUCK again. They said it was safe since it "wasn't too deep" -- is that what you should get for a $29,000 CX-5? Is that the responsiveness and customer service BRAGGED about? Don't think so.....
