Horrible misleading people.

Walked into this automobile dealership, greater by a pleasant young lady, Jayna. Immediately Antonio approached me and asked if he could help. Told him I wanted a 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid. We talked a bit and he instructed Jaysa to have me test drive a nice Elantra Limited, and of course had me drive the more expensive model which I denied wanting. Well after talking to this Antonio I told him I didn't want ANY "package" deals for any extra "windshield wiper replacement, tire scuffing replacement etc." He kept pushing all this little things which I made clear I DID NOT WANT. He had a piece of paper which he called a "worksheet" breaking down on a bi weekly amount I'd pay (incidentally I signed this paper which was no longer to be found later) for the vehicle I chose for $30,000. This was what I agreed to. He escorts me back to a gentleman with a European accent to do paperwork. Again he tried to pressure me into this "great package deal" I told him no and after viewing several 'options' agreed to what I thought was the Hyundai free oil change that comes with all Hyundai. I put down $4500 was instructed to "read over the inputted info in the computer" I literally was standing next to this man with all these documents in tiny print, basically over his shoulder and was asked if I wanted to sign one line to auto populate my signature. At NO point was any discussion about any add on amounts to this loan. No numbers clearly discussed nothing. I signed this paperwork thinking I was getting the price of what I agreed with Antonio. After getting home and looking at the loan financed it was $4000 more than expected. I attempted on several occasions to contact Antonio and finally after saying I was writing the BBB, which is next, he called me. Went to the so called 'FRIENDLY, TRUSTING FAMILY OWNED' Dealership to discuss with Antonio my concerns. Antonio basically denied any knowledge of this amount going from $30,000 (without the $4500 down payment) to $35,000. The processing fee is inflated and unfortunately the state of SC doesn't have a cap but this numbers IS negotiable, if a friendly family owned business wanted to help a customer. This man and his slick paperwork took advantage of me and probably countless other people. I was tricked into paying for a service I will never need nor never wanted. I hope Antonio and his family have a nice vacation with the "bonus" he made off me.


Great service!

I did a big girl thing tonight! I cried the day I sold my 21 model and have regretted it since. Well, this baby is alllll mine! It’s not just a car. It’s an emotional thing for me. I knew 4 weeks ago when I was told this would arrive by Oct 4 that it would be mine! It was a huge surprise when, Robert Winecoff text me to let me know it had arrived. I fought for this! I don’t take the word “no” lightly, and Robert and Antonio probably got sick of me, but they remained patient and loyal, as always. It’s my 2023 Hyundai Sonata N Line. Now, she needs a name 😁


Poor sales performance

We was very happy to purchase a 2022 car and went to do paper work and to our supprise they raised prices. Sticker and hyundia prices were 6,000$higher so we walked out.sad to say we bought a new sonata in 2013.VERY dissatisfied......

Went to Benson Hyundai for my Elantra's service, and was sincerely greeted by Alex Barton in the Service Department. What a refreshing experience! In this day and age where good professional help with a good attitude is a diamond in the rough, Alex revamped my perspective. He even double checked some stuff that saved me money. Way to go!

idiots intentionally done wrong every step.

Awful. From start to finish. 2 months later still going back and forth from bank, dmv an dealership. Had certified check made deal an these thief’s sent in over amount agreed of the certified check to They “lost” all dmv info. Mailed paperwork, tag, to address I never gave them on any paperwork. If I could give zero stars I would. There service agreement is intervals of 7500 miles for oil changes complete joke. Extreme price gauging


Unethical in their pricing practice!!!!!!

Have used this dealership for many years for both sales and service. Well recently they feel empowered to arbitrarily add $4,000 to $10,000 to the MSRP for Tuscon, Sante Fe and Palisades. Well I am not here to help finance their business. There are other dealers that feel ethics do play apart of their business and loyalty works both ways and they sell at MSRP. This is totally acceptable in consideration of the current environment in the car industry. No longer a customer of Benson in both sales and service.
