The only person I have anything good to say something

The only person I have anything good to say something about was the guy that kept bringing me keys when my wife found a suv she liked. Bought one just made it home and it broke down, was told to bad it's your problem. Wouldn't send a enemy there.

I was in need of a new to me vehicle after my car from

I was in need of a new to me vehicle after my car from carmax was a lemon. I saw their huge lot inventory online and found a very nice Toyota Avalon limited hybrid. I drive quite a lot and the hybrid gets 48 miles a gallon so I went in same day, upon entering the lot I parked and started looking around for the vehicle, kind of daunting with the number of vehicles but a xxxx of a selection! I had an older gentleman approach me and ask if I knew what I was looking for and I replied yes and asked about the Toyota. He pulled out a few sheets of paper with every vehicles info and vin listed with pricing miles and everything like cheat sheets and vehicles no longer available for sale crossed out. He checked if the vehicle was avilable and kindly showed me to the vehicle. He then handed me the papers and said I can look over what else they had as well and see if anything else catches my eye and he would go grab his tag and grab any keys I’d like to test drive and of course answer any questions I may have but didn’t want to “hound me” like a used car salesman lol I get it I used to be a Toyota dealership tower manager and I hated hovering my clients lol. I got the keys and carfax from him and he said take it as long as you need check it out and let me know what you think. I went along my way took it home to diag it and see what’s going on. Vin came back as one owner previous and plenty of Regular Maintenance recorded by dealership on the cardax. It was high miles but knowing Toyotas and having plenty of history I was confident in this vehicle and decided to go ahead and take the vin, make, and model to my bank to get a pre approved check so easy finance in and out at the dealership. My bank approved the vehicle and I went back and told the gentleman I would take it and he brought me into their office building and he started getting the vehicle ready for delivery to me. Once inside their manager told me what’s what, I let him know I already got approved and had my check code and he just needed to confirm with my bank verify everything. He went over the pricing and how they have it set up, price is set and includes a few benifits including oil changes and some other Scheduled maintenance perks in the price or if I wanted to forgo those they could try to negotiate but I was completely fine with their insurance company working with them before plenty in the service lanes at Toyota. I purchased my fully loaded 2016 Toyota Avalon limited hybrid for 11k and have had zero issues. It’s been a little over 8 months and the vehicle is running fantastic and I have not had to do anything to it besides oil changes. The car was extremely clean smelled clean as well, the rear shade motor had one side slow to rise but that’s to be expected with those from Toyota and I never use it so i just leave it be but works non the less just takes a extra second or two to lift up or lower shut. Overall I’m absolutely ecstatic about this purchase and yes it’s a used car lot. You should always be careful buying ANY used vehicle. Do your research and take advantage of their long as you need test drive. They encourage you in looked over by anybody you trust or any mechanic. Take it during your test drive and build your confidence in the purchase. As I said they have a huge selection avilable and there’s sure to be something there for you! Highly recommend and Louis their manager is the man!!!

I am going to HIGHLY recommend you stay away from this

I am going to HIGHLY recommend you stay away from this place. My 18 year old son saved up over $6700 of his own money to buy his FIRST car. We bought this car on May 13, 2023. On the evening of June 15th it broke down on him (yes just a little more than one month later). Alamo Car Center (the one on Austin Highway) is wiping their hands and hiding behind state "laws" that "protect" them. Now, my son is back to square one, without a car, out over $6700 and no down payment for a new car. I tried to politely ask them to make this wrong right and they refused twice. What I did find out is that the Pep Boys they took the car we bought to have their prepurchase inspection, recommended over $3100 in repairs necessary; however, Alamo Car Center DECLINED every single one of them. Furthermore, Pep Boys noted on the Work Order that someone told them (presumably the Laura Harris on the Work Order?) that "I do not know what needs to be done". Their own web site states "Alamo Car Center's main goal is to provide you with a really good running vehicle for the lowest price in town and especially in the area. We have bought and sold over 12,000 vehicles in being in business and counting, all used cars, so we have a lot of experience in used cars and know what they should go for and what kind of condition they should be sold at. We want to provide the customer a safe and easy cash car buying experience." While I can say I felt safe on their lot and they did easily accept a cash debit payment for over $6700, I can assure you no one in their right mind could agree that they KNOW what kind of condition the vehicles should be sold at. Really? You go get a prepurchase inspection at Pep Boys and the professionals tell you what needs to be repaired/replaced, yet their Work Order clearly states you DECLINED all the necessary repairs and you still sold this vehicle claiming it was in good condition? You further went on to suggest you have no idea what my son did to it in the month he had it? You have got some nerve, all while cowering behind a DMV statute. I will not go away until you make this right and everyone that will listen to me will know what can happen to them and so far, all the proper authorities that should be made aware of this have been. You knowingly sold a car with identified mechanical issues. And now, it does not start and is leaking all sorts of fluids. I just spent another $100 to tow it off the lot of the auto shop it was taken to when it broke down. And currently, I am in line with a salvage yard so we can salvage this car. We are NOT going to put any money into fixing this and/or selling it and it potentially being someone else's problem.

Don't buy from Alamo Car Center. BEWARE!!!

Heads Up.... These guys are the worst. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. The TX DMV report was inaccurate of fraudulent. I am looking into reporting them. This was a HUGE safety concern, and we are lucky that there was not an accident. And, Alamo Care Center would not budge, even after I was promised 50% of the cost of the brakes to be paid back to us. Run around from 3 different salesmen, Patrick who claimed he was the G. M. , Andrew who was at his "grandmother's funeral" and Frank who hung up on me. We believed their promise that "All vehicles go through an inspection for your protection". Don't believe them... BUYER BEWARE. Bought car on April 17, 2023. Hope this helps you not to trust them. They don't deserve that trust.

These xxxxxxxx are the biggest liars and thieves out

These xxxxxxxx are the biggest liars and thieves out there. I bought a Buick Rendezvous from them, paid 1500.00 cash and financed 5500. Less than 3 week later it started over heating, I contacted Alamo only to hear" as-is". I spent 700.00 trying to fix the over heating issue, only to find out the engine block is cracked.. contacted Alamo..."as-is". ALL THIS BEFORE MY FIRST CAR PAYMENT ! Today I had to surrender the car to the finance company, because I didn't want to have to pay 5-6k for a new engine and keep making payments or return the car, which for me at age 63 is going to be a very bad credit issue for me from now on, to the finance company. BOTTOM LINE....THEY TOLD ME AS SOON AS YOUR WHEELS LEAVE THEIR DRIVEWAY, THEY WILL NOT HONOR ANY ISSUES THAT ARISE FROM SELLING YOU A LEMON. I NOW HAVE TO HIRE ATTORNEYS, FILE WITH THE TEXAS DEPT OF MOTOR VECHICLES FRAUD DIVISION, CONTACTED MY STATE REPRESENTATIVES... ALL WHICH WILL PROBABLY FALL ON DEAF EARS AND LEAVE ME WERE I AM NOW....SCREWED, STRANDED AND A NEG MARK ON MY CREDIT REPORT. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHES I'M DEALING WITH, THERE'S PLENTY OF OTHER REPUTABLE, HONEST, PROFESSIONAL DEALERSHIPS THAT INCORPORATE HONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES. I DON'T KNOW HOW THESE PEOPLE KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT. EVEN IF YOUR A VETERAN OR SENIOR CITIZEN, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF !!!

They are currently selling a 2009 WHITE Mercedes E-350.

They are currently selling a 2009 WHITE Mercedes E-350. (As of Dec 2, 2022) Do not buy the vehicle it has mechanical issues. How do I know? I owned the car previously. VIN for car is WDBUF56X39B361899 I cannot say for sure whether these people are aware of the issues or not. Maybe they will play ignorant to sell the car? All I can tell you is that car will be a money pit for you if you buy it. NOT all E350s are like this, some are and some arent, but thsi one is not a good example of the 2009 E350. So warning to whoever thinks of buying this or buys it. If you want an E-Class Find another one that is more reliable. I got rid of it due to one issue after another. Very annoying to be dealing with it. Even if it works during test driving the issues will creep up I guarantee it. Also from what other reviews of this place I am reading , once they hve your money and you drive off you are on your own and they will leave you with a problem car. BUYER BEWARE!

Unethical grifters.

Unethical grifters. Payed $8000 for a car that broke down immediately. Check engine light came on 1 hour after I purchased the vehicle. Not a trustworthy business.
