John Musoga was awesome! The experience was seamless from the moment I arrived. I had been to another Mazda dealership in Longview, Texas one day prior and they were totally unprofessional and obviously did not get my business. Velocity Mazda will get my business every time.

It used to be great, but now marginal at best.
It used to be great, but now marginal at best. TWENTY days to get a service appointment and after telling them the service I need and what needs to be checked, I am told it will take ALL DAY before they can tell me what needs to be done.

Came in to the dealership 2 weeks ago and the lot was empty. My wife, later got in touch with them and they told her they had vehicles coming in. Long story short, we arrived there for a test drive of a used 2021 CX5? Was a pleasant experience. Normally a customer talks to the sales person about the numbers…never happened, then once things are agreed upon THEN goes to the finance person. Well….none of that happened. Get sent to JOSE GARCIA general sales manager. After pulling my credit, tells me that since the economy is what it is, I could only get a 5.95 Apr. (I have perfect credit) How does a dealership sale cars when they are not even on the lot? The sales person talked about one car and Jose talked about another. Things weren’t making sense. Jose tells up that since the vehicle we wanted wasn’t on the lot, that we were required to give a 500.00 check for us to say we want the vehicle. (Strange) do to the fact that he later states “hey, you could use that money to lower your payment”. Funny when before all this, we asked about the 100,000 mile warranty but he could t do that. He tells us that the vehicle we wanted will arrive today 10/12/22. 7 days after. Jose text my wife today and says “the vehicle won’t be on the lot till the 17th of October now.” We had enough. My wife goes to pick up our check and he hands her the check and merely says “thank you”. That’s not how you treat customers or sale cars.

Worse buying experience. I wanted to trade in my car for...
Worse buying experience. I wanted to trade in my car for another. Viry who is very friendly and laid back was the main person I was talking to. She was like yeah you’re not on the title I was like yeah I figured. I’ve told her I been going through a separation but that I am on there. Then this other guy came out of the office, we were in a area that’s kinda out in the open. With his voice raised and said “It’s ILLEGAL for you to sell this car because it’s not yours”. I was like okay thanks but she already explained. Then her manager Jose came out told me the same thing and also said “you’re paying off the car but you’re not even getting credit for it” I showed him it was on my credit because I am on there. He rolled his eyes then decided to finally pulled me into his office he asked for my social I said “Are you going to run my credit” he didn’t answer my question just proceed to say other things. He handed me the paper for permission I told him I didn’t want to run my credit until I knew how much my trade in would be. He said “its not going to affect your credit it’s just going to show as a hard inquiry. If you go somewhere else they’re going to do the same thing”. After that I was just trying to get out of there he said “ I’m not going to force you to sign” but he was being very pushy I could tell that he was getting frustrated. I think they just wanted to get rid of the car they had on the lot that I wanted because it’s been there for over three months. I told him I’ll just be back another day once I talk to my ex about switching over the name and left. Not even a hour later got a text message saying “Hey I got a hold of State Farm you are on the loan so we can make it work could you come back”. This was my first time going to a dealership by myself. I’ve accompanied friends to dealerships before and never witnessed this type of customer service.

It was an overall pleasant experience...Customer service was excellent, and the products offered were excellent as well..The time it took once I was in the office was very fast...No sales pressure noted..I have purchased here before, and this was my 2nd purchase, so it felt like I was part of the Mazda family

Great Experience
Buying my 2016 KIA Sorento off the internet from John Musoga at Velocity Mazda in Tyler, Texas was without a doubt the best car-buying experience I have ever had. Not only was John honest with me from our first phone conversation, he exceeded my expectations throughout the transaction. As you can imagine, buying a car sight-unseen from 1,700 miles away requires a lot of trust. John thoroughly and accurately described the vehicle to me inside and out. A few days later, he picked me up at the airport, drove me to his dealership, gave me a much-needed water break, and then showed me my new car- perfectly detailed and filled with gas! After we completed the paperwork, he gave me the keys and driving directions back to my home in Nevada . I cannot say enough great things about this man and his work ethic. Thank you, John!

Friendly and Helpful Staff
Went in to check out their new offerings and compare them with used cars I was also looking at. Pleasantly surprised to be helped by knowledgeable staff with no high pressure sales techniques. They genuinely wanted to help me find the vehicle that I wanted. It took me about a month before I decided to purchase there, and I have not had any disappointments or "buyer's remorse" since the process started. Highly Recommend!
