I went to this dealership to test drive a Mazda3 hatchback. Despite making an appointment with Art, when we arrived he passed us off to another salesman, Michael, who did not know anything about what we were looking for. Michael went to go get the keys for the test drive while we waited. As it turns out, the person with the keys was out on a lunch break. After waiting 45 minutes, we were able to test drive a different car, as the person apparently still wasn’t back yet. For his part, Michael was helpful in answering our questions and assisted us in looking at a couple of other models. He didn’t apply any pressure and overall it was a positive experience. However, after asking for a lease quote on the CX5, I asked whether a marked up money factor was being used, and I asked to remove a dealer add on. Michael chose not to answer my question about a marked up money factor, deflecting by explaining to me that “different leases have different money factors” which was not the question, and going on to explain that comparing money factors was somehow “apples and oranges.” I responded explaining the fact that Mazda has a base money factor which varies from vehicle to vehicle, but marking up the money factor was at the dealer’s discretion. Art then responded and asked me “what kind of money factor are you trying to get” which again dodged the question of dealer markup, and he reiterated that the $250 junk fee was not negotiable. I did call around to other dealers and confirmed that Maita did in fact mark up the money factor for a car of the exact same model and trim, and confirmed that the VIN etch is not at all required. I visited two other dealerships, both of which had the car pulled up by the time I arrived for the appointment, and both of which offered transparent lease worksheets. I called a third dealership, who initially marked up the money factor but responded transparently to my inquiry and removed the markup. I was able to close on a CX5 lease on terms that I am extremely happy with. I am disappointed in Maita’s transparency and professionalism, and I am glad that I trusted my intuition and continued shopping around.

It's truly uplifting to see good deeds and good customer service recognized, and I'm thrilled to share my exceptional experience at Maita Mazda of Sacramento. I had a warranty issue with a driver's side door rattle that was promptly addressed and fixed by Maita Mazda's outstanding service department. I must commend Colby, the service manager, and Ron for their remarkable communication and patience. They kept me informed every step of the way, ensuring a seamless experience, even when parts had to be ordered and a loaner provided. It's a testament to Maita Mazda's commitment to excellence that they were able to overcome obstacles and resolve the issue. I'm eager to acknowledge and celebrate their outstanding service. Thank you, Maita Mazda. sincerely, George M.

Michael Toledo was our salesman, and we really do love the car so far. The finance manager was great — very clear, transparent, and easy to work with. However, there were a couple of disappointing parts of the experience. During the test drive, we noticed the gas light was on and mentioned it. Michael told us they would “fill the tank” if we bought the car. But after we signed, the tank was only filled to about a third. Having to immediately spend another $45 to actually fill it ourselves felt misleading. More concerning was that we had agreed to remove an add-on, yet it somehow ended up back on the paperwork. Instead of fixing it right away, we got excuses about why it couldn’t be removed, and only after pushing back was it finally corrected. It came off as sneaky and left us questioning how straightforward the process really was. Overall, we’re happy with the car itself, but the buying experience could have been much smoother and more transparent.

Worst car buying experience of my life. High pressure sales tactics by the loser finance manager. I told him no to extended warranties three times and he just would not drop it the entire time I was in his office.

Recently, I purchased a vehicle from Maita Mazda. I would have say it was the BEST buying experience that I have ever had. The staff were very kind and helpful.,always willing to go above and beyond for me. All of them were fantastic especially my salesman, Julio Navarro. We worked together over a 6 week period..He was always willing to search for a particular vehicle for me,even though I changed my mind about 6 times. Not only was Julio patient he was kind, and very knowledgeable about each vehicle. This made me feel very comfortable. I ended up purchasing a Mazda CX-5, and left with a smile on my face. The car is AMAZING, I love it. It's everything and more that Julio said it would be. Thanks Julio, your the BEST. Sincerely, Denise Guth Great employees should be recognized for there OUTSTANDING service. 5 STARS MAITA MAZDA

The experience of buying a car was new to me but the people there were great. Julio was so friendly, down to earth and helped to ease the stress. He was on top of everything every step of the way, even providing lunch for us. The Sales manager Shane gave us the best deal possible, had everything ready and worked hard for us. The finance officer was easy to work with and friendly. I highly recommend Maita Mazda and we’re very happy with our car!
