"Experience Clear and Simple Car Buying and Selling"
I made an appointment with a sales person who contacted me by phone in response to a website enquiry I made. The sales person was waiting for me when... I arrived, took me out for a test drive and handled the sale thoroughly and professionally. There were one or two minor maintenance issues I wanted the service department to check before taking the car, so they kept it over the weekend. The service manager called on Monday to update status and kept me informed. I picked up the car on Tuesday and have been pleased with it. Price was what should be expected for the make, model and mileage according to Cars.com, NADA and Kelly Bluebook.
The facilities at Car Max are nice. The person who helped us was really nice and didn't resemble the average used car salesman. That being said, he... didn't know ANYTHING about cars. He showed us the wrong car, didn't know anything about the details or basic information about the car, didn't know about the warranty options, and didn't really know what other cars were on the lot to use as comparisons. We came ready to buy and just wanted to see a certain type of cars around a certain mileage. We wanted to be directed and advised and left confused and disappointed. Didn't they want to sell a car?
