My experience was really bad. I traded in. I paid lot for the vehicle that I bought. Carmax was very uncompromising about giving any discounts up front.... But I already have found more than 5 problems on my new vehicle. I have been getting a run around for repair. Very delayed responses, wrong parts were ordered, repair time is getting prolonged that predicted, employees blaming each other. Very bad customer service. Think twice before buying from this dealer.
Clean facility friendly people setting up the test drive was easy. I dislike not being able to negotiate, as their price was very high for the vehicle... and their idea of a "very good" interest rate on a 2016 car was 5% (I've been quoted at 2% for same vehicle) was amusing. If people don't like to negotiate and don't want to shop around this is a very nice place to buy a car, similar to comparing iPhones (CarMax) to Android (every other dealer).

Starting the process for looking for a new to us van and CarMax was one of our stops. They had one we were really interested in, but between trade-in value... and non-negotiable pricing (which we knew in advance) we realized it wouldn't fit our price range. Ryan was responsive, but not oppressive.
