Drove down from Maryland for a Prius that was competitively priced. The listing for the car was very accurate; examining the car in person yielded very little surprises compared with the pictures provided. Customer service felt excellent. Granted, I don't shop extensively at used car dealerships, but I'm well aware of the notorious reputation car salespeople have. Fortunately, the gentleman who helped us was friendly and importantly, felt trustworthy. That is to say we didn't feel as if we were being strong-armed into a sale, he let the car speak for itself, and he gave us room to breathe. When looking to make a several thousand dollar purchase, it's important to trust your gut, and nothing about the salesperson felt off in any way that made us want to run the other way. I would recommend them, and if they had another used car in stock that interested me, I wouldn't hesitate to drive down again for a gander. If I were to nitpick negatives about my experience, I would say finding them is a little difficult because their entrance is on a curved road, so it can be easy to drive past it if you're new to the area, but that's got nothing to do with the quality of service at this dealership. Also, as we only purchased the used Prius, we cannot speak to any of their other services.

Great customer service and good selection of cars. We traveled all the way from PA for this 2010 Ford F-250. Beautiful truck, Exactly as described. Raja was very helpful and cooperative. In past buying a used cars was not a good experience for us but this time I am glad we found a good place and good truck. Thank you Raja, we will definitely be back when we need something else. BUYER BEWARE!! I have purchased dozens of cars in my life. My experience with this company has led to be the worst decision in my life. I purchased a 2006 Ford Escape a little less than 2 months ago. The salesman practically forced me to buy a warranty which should have been a red flag. The vehicle had an ABS light on that I was told was just a milage thing that popped up and nothing was wrong with the brakes. I drove the car home and parked it at a friends house for a week to surprise my daughter for her 16th birthday. The 3rd time my daughter and I took it out we noticed the transmission slipped when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. I dropped it off at the mechanic and was informed the transmission was bad. The mechanic told me something was fishy because when they drained the fluid it was brand new and appeared to have been freshly flushed as if someone was trying to hide something. After several calls to the warranty company I was informed that they only cover a percentage of the labor and parts. This was not what I was told when the salesman sold me the car. I was told if something happened I would only pay $100 deductible (lie). The warranty company in itself was a complete joke. They supplied the cheapest transmission they could find (against mine and the mechanics will). When it showed up to the shop the mechanic installed the replacement transmission only to find it didnt work AT ALL. We then had to battle the warranty company again and have another transmission shipped. After 5 weeks and $1300 out of pocket we finally got the car back. The next day the ABS light came on again. I took it back to the shop and had them diagnose the problem. Another $150 out of pocket on shop labor and find out yet another major issue and $2100 to fix. American Auto Mall has offered me nothing to resolve these issues. They continue to defer to "sold as is" "warranty" blah, blah. The car has been driven less than 200 miles since purchasing. They are dishonest crooks and dont stand behind the products they sell. I'm out thousands of dollars and they could care less! Hopefully this will save many of you money, time, stress and aggravation by learning from my mistake. Avoid this place at all costs. You've been warned!

We had a wonderful experience with American Auto Mall. They had pretty nice collection in under $5000 price range. I liked the 09 VW Jetta and so far loving it. We will definitely go back in future.
