Forced to pay under protest for a defective safety recall. Avoid the service department at Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Seattle. They performed the corporate 73B safety recall on my 2018 Pacifica Hybrid, which directly bricked the vehicle’s central communication network (Active Code U0001-00 CAN C Bus crash) and disabled my hybrid systems (U0412).Instead of fixing their defective software update for free under federal recall mandates and my Hybrid Powertrain Warranty, the store manager forced me to pay a $284.67 'diagnostic fee' under protest just to get my vehicle back. To make matters worse, their technician noted on the invoice that the van actively needs a 9-module software flash to fix this network conflict, yet they tried to charge me an additional $812.50 to perform it.I have already escalated this to Stellantis Corporate (Case #96653106) and have officially filed formal complaints with the Washington State Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division and the NHTSA. If you want a dealership that honors safety recalls and federal consumer laws, go somewhere else.

David, I am not interested in further 'discussions' with the local service department. This issue stems from a corporate 73B safety recall performed at your facility which damaged my vehicle's communication network. I have formally escalated this with Stellantis Corporate (Case #96653106) and filed complaints with the WA Attorney General and NHTSA. My vehicle is covered under Washington State ZEV law until 2027; I am not looking for service contracts or 'resolutions'—I am looking for the dealership to honor the federal recall mandate and repair the damage caused to my vehicle at no cost, and for the reimbursement of the diagnostic fee I was forced to pay under protest.
Trusted, efficient, no surprises thoroughly my 10 years + experience with Seattle Jeep and specifically my service manager James Gill. Excellent customer service and communication. Had a major complicated engineer issue a few years back and his communication and direction throughout was excellent. Would’ve given dealership a 5 but a little bitter as a long time customer and they did not honor a 10% coupon after I checked out. I forgot I had it. I think many places would be proactive to ask about it. Was a $150 savings and just a hard no-sorry, when I mentioned it. Take care of the customer. Especially your loyal ones.

This place is classic "bait and switch" and then try to gas light you when you point it out. Toxic practices in the hopes nobody actually reports it and/or nobody actually reads the reviews. I will be filing with the AG and FTC, so that box is checked. You can read the review and avoid them and check the other box. Together we can get them to either be honest to their customers, or close down. Onto the review! If you read these reviews, the theme is the same. They engage in dishonest, bait and switch pricing. Their website clearly advertised a price (that was listed as the "no surprises at the dealership price"). Of course, that "no surprise" price was filled with surprises! When I called the woman who answered immediately got defensive and asked for proof. I sent screenshots at her request. The response was to get even more defensive and imply that it was somehow my fault for not recognizing the error. Gaslighting 101. I think it is better just to put screenshots than explain further. They clearly practice deceptive pricing and then try and hide behind "it was an error". It is frustrating that a business wants to lead with such dishonesty. You can judge for yourself, but hopefully you can save yourself the angst of spending anytime with this business. Their response when I caught them doing this was to ghost me and stop responding. It is not an honest business. You can also google about the current state of Jeep as a brand and quickly becomes a one two punch. Summary: Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

I tried calling per your request but was transferred to a line that wasn't connected. I will update this if I do in fact hear back from you. That said, another manager called me the other day when I originally posted, heard me out, and told me he would call me back in an hour to see what they could do and never called me back, so I am not terribly optimistic here that there is any interest in resolving anything other than trying to respond publicly to make it appear there was an effort to resolve.
