Having been a loyal customer who has purchased not one, not two, but three cars from their dealership, I felt compelled to share my recent journey, which, though initially challenging, turned into a truly exceptional experience. Once my concerns were brought to their attention, they went above and beyond to completely rectify the situation, demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction. Pat McGrath's team acted swiftly and decisively to address my concerns. The dealership's management, including the general manager, Mark Updegraff, and the used vehicle sales director, Mason Schultz, were both amazing and took my feedback very seriously. They immediately offered to fix things. This gesture demonstrated their commitment to making things right and ensuring my satisfaction. They recognized the importance of providing me with a vehicle that suits my needs as a disabled Army veteran. They have not only addressed the issues I encountered, but have also taken steps to ensure that such situations are less likely to occur in the future. While my recent experience initially left me disappointed, it's their swift and effective response that has ultimately and completely restored my faith in their dealership. Recently our car was totaled in a hit and run accident and as we started researching local options for a replacement vehicle through the various car apps and websites, we decided on a vehicle with a very specific set of features and with a price point that was no more than what we received in the insurance settlement. Due to this there were few options available and whenever we did find one at the various local dealerships and car lots, they would all inevitably steer us away from what we were looking for and try to sell us vehicles that did not match our stated criteria. This became a very frustrating and time consuming process that kept taking place repeatedly for several weeks. On a whim, I responded to an automated email from McGrath after browsing one of their vehicles on their website. In my email response, I clearly stated what specific make/model/trim/color/year of the two vehicle options we were looking for. I also stated what my pricing expectations were and to please let me know if they come across anything matching those parameters. Within two hours (I am not exaggerating) I received an email back from Jayden Weber at McGrath VW in Marion that they had a vehicle that he thought would be what I was looking for - Jayden even included a personalized video for me where he walked around the car, provided video of the interior and also pointed out and confirmed in the video each of the specific features that we were looking for! He confirmed that the car was on their lot, and we could come test drive it whenever we wanted. I followed up with an email asking if we could purchase this car at a specific 'Out-the-door' price if the test drive went well, to which Jayden responded very quickly that they could do that. Once we got to the dealership, I half-expected there to be some catch. After test driving the car and reviewing the agreed upon terms, the only unexpected thing was finding out that the vehicle did have an open recall on it. Jayden immediately confirmed with his service manager that they had the parts needed and could complete the recall repair overnight and we could pick the vehicle up the next day. Jayden had the paperwork all ready and we were able to purchase the vehicle at the previously agreed upon out-the-door price and all within an hour and a half! When we went to pick the car up the next day, not only was the car ready and waiting for us, but Jayden also had their detail shop give it another once-over cleaning that morning and they were able to remove some existing stains from the roof liner and door frame for us. We have purchased numerous vehicles over the years, and this was by far the most stress-free vehicle purchase experience that my wife or I have ever had. Do NOT take your car here if you want an honest quote and diagnosis! We have had some serious problems with the repair and servicing shop trying to swindle money out of us regarding our Volkswagen Jetta. We initially went in for diagnostics and received a quote for $18,000 to replace the entire engine. Upon review, our warranty requested more testing in 1,000 miles which Volkswagen stated would be at $0 cost to us because it was requested by the warranty. We brought it back just to end up getting the same quote. After taking the car elsewhere for a second opinion, it is now fixed for less than $1,000 and we are being told we HAVE to pay $200 to Volkswagen for the second diagnostics because we didn’t get it fixed through them even though we paid initially for the first testing and oil. Take your car anywhere but here!

This last Monday we met Demetrios Clinton for the first time. We were Searching for a 2022 Atlas Cross Sport SEL Premium R-Line SUV. He showed us several R-Line Atlas’ and we were able to test drive. But we had our sights set on a Premium R-Line despite their rarity. Demetrios understood how serious we were. Within a day he had located our dream vehicle! We drove off the lot FRIDAY with our Tourmaline Blue premium R-Line 2022 Atlas. Demetrios is a miracle worker and VERY pleasant to deal with. He stands by his word.
