The service we received from buying a car at CarMax Bloomington was incredible. Mike, the GM, went above and beyond to make us happy. I would buy a car again at this location without hesitation. There were a few hiccups along the way (there always are) but they handled them so well it made little difference to us as buyers. I was so incredibly impressed. I'll look here first for my next vehicle.

It was a decent, honest transaction. No haggling, so the salesperson had no reason to be deceptive. The remaining warranty was explained correctly. A window swith went out, and Napleton's claimed (incorrectly) that it wasn't covered. Regardless, CarMax was going to take care of it under the 30 day policy. Ultimately Napleton's claimed responsibility, but I was glad to see CarMax step up. This was a much better experience than I have had with other dealerships all around.

Staff was Friendly. Staff was Fast, especially with my paperwork completed before hand. Expectations met. Would buy vehicle again from Carmax.

The people were very friendly and accommodating. I'm not sure who dropped the ball on some of the communication whether it be the actual dealership or whom ever but, I was waiting on my car to be delivered and it took a very long time ,to the point where I needed to do another application . Then when I was told It was in on like a Monday I live out of town and asked if I could make apt. on Saturday and they said yes. I called back on Friday to confirm my apt. and They told me that they had no car saved for me and didn't know what I was talking about. Fortunately the car hadn't been sold after I had waited an extensive amount of time. So I was told I needed to do another application because there had been so much time that had passed from when I ordered the car. Then I purchased the car that all went well very satisfied with the customer service person on his knowledge of all the details. Where we had another problem later when I got home and reviewed all my paper work the customer service person had over charged me for the purchase of the vehicle by 1000.00 dollars so then I had to make numerous calls to get that right and after two to three weeks got my thousand dollars back. I gave a 4 star rating because the effort from the people evolved was excellent otherwise I would have given a 3star I feel like these problems were significant enough to were my wife and I deserve some sort of compensation like another 1000.00 off the sticker price. It will be difficult to recommended carmax to family and friends.

Wonderful experience at the TInley Park, Il location. Everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly and helpful. The Jeep Wagoneer was shipped from Bloomington to this location. We drove two other cars but ultimately purchased the Wagoneer. Mark LaPaglia and Edward were OUTSTANDING and so easy to work with!

This was, by far, one of the besst car buying experiences I have ever had. From the manager, to everyone in the facility, I felt truly like they were trying to do the best for me and to make my purchase easy and pleasant. I have bought many a car in my years and this has changed my opinion on how this process should be done. Nothing is hidden, there is not extra squabble to try and eek another dollar out of your deal, either on the purchase price side, or if you have a trade, on that side either. I will forever have CarMax, and specifically the dealership in my hometown of Bloomington, Il, as my first stop for every purchase moving forward. I was dealing with the dealership where I had purchased my previous 3 vehicles prior to checking out CarMax and it almost made me disgusted and mad to realize how shady, even the supposed good ones, that std dealerships can be. If you have any questions or concerns about working with CarMax, I suggest you compare vehicles, and the process, to your favorite dealer before walking into CarMax to see the real difference and I hope that you all have the same experience I did. I have worked in Sales my whole life and have always found the experience of being sold to by a dealership lacking in the true experience of walking away knowing that you did get the best deal and that you weren't taken advantage of somehow. Well, I have found the solution to that in CarMax!

Dealership is Great! Any one is very helpful. Going online veiw the vehicles make it easy. I bought my daughter a car from another state. When carmax in Bloomington received, the Kia was just like the description listed. My daughter fell in love with the car. Financing was easy and hassle-free. Sales representative and manager of CarMax in Bloomington Illinois get a five star for their customer service and overall experience made easy. I would recommend CarMax to all friends and family members. I even went back and purchased a different vehicle for myself.

Both the manager and the sales rep we dealt with were very nice, friendly, helpful, and eager to please. The only thing that we felt was lacking was the speed of the sale and what felt like a very disjointed process. We had a car shipped in from another Carmax location that we were eager to purchase after a test drive...still the time it took us to drive away with the vehicle (from beginning to end) took over 4 hours. One star removed for that reason.

They did not explain anything about the vehicle or features and did not disclose the imperfections. When I pointed them out they said they couldn’t match the paint to touch them up and told me to order the touch up pen from Mitsubishi and send them the receipt. Also, sold me the car with an open recall. I then wanted to get something different as it was in my 10 days and I was told I had to apply for financing again and pay more money down.
