Absolutely horrible wrote off a car bought used as what I could afford at the time . Transmission issue almost 10,000 to repair took 6 weeks to get it back and instantly calipers went wonder why again another 1000 plus to repair then brakes failed oh surprise recall was towed and again wait for parts and repair Transmission was not correctly fixed went back oh and surprisingly wasnt the 10,000 fix thatni paid for now another almost 10,000 for then to fix took elsewhere surprisingly it worked now my car is a swimming pool from a roof leak cant wait for this 1 beyond ridiculous I have now paid for the car 3 times over and stuck and always get the run around from them and never the correct repair there has been a few other repairs in there as well . Never a way to resolve or fix the issue beyond ohbhey we want more $ when I was a local trade and they service prior feel like the whole sale was xx to get it off the lot

Truly the best customer service we’ve ever encountered and will definitely deal with Max Rolph again and again. He works in your best interest, listens to your wants/needs, makes sure you are satisfied. This guy was recommended to us so glad he was and we will pass on his name as well.

I wanted to share my experience with Barrie Ford. From the get go communication was fast and clear. The sales person was kind and there was no pressure. I was also able to meet Dominic Lazzaro who was able to get some numbers done to my understanding and where I wanted to be at. Likewise very kind and professional. Thank you Dominic for everything and it was a joy to meet you, your sales person and finance manager! I belong to a large network here in Barrie and will share my good experience because of you.

Absolutely Fantastic people. Excellent Service. I came in off the highway during a winter storm and needed my windshield wipers changed so I could get home to Mississauga and the girls in service Took me in right away. Thank you so much for helping me. I was so impressed how they treated me.I will spread the word on how exceptional they are , if you need a car or need service on your current vehicle , please don't hesitate to go to barrie ford. Thank you so much Barrie Ford.

My oldest son buys his new vehicles through Max, so he recommended him to me when I decided to buy a new Bronco. I didn’t feel rushed and I got all my questions answered. Cassandra was amazing. It was a pleasure to meet with her, also, and go over details.

Ongoing Transmission Issue Mishandled I’ve had an unresolved PowerShift transmission issue on my 2014 Ford Focus for nearly a decade. The vehicle shutters and slips during acceleration — especially after extended driving — and despite multiple warranty repairs, the problem has never been fixed. Here’s a brief timeline of the major repairs: March 2016: TCM recall performed October 2016: Clutch ordered due to hesitation March 2017: Clutch replaced; reprogrammed PCM/TCM May 2020: Clutch and input shaft seals replaced August 2021: “Transmission Fault Service Now” – TCM replaced again February 2024 (at Barrie Ford): TCM replaced under warranty; told the issue would resolve after 2,000 km — it didn’t June 2025 (Barrie Ford): Issue re-diagnosed, DTC P090C confirmed clutch and actuator failure again To Barrie Ford’s credit, they waived the diagnostic fee and offered to discount the repair from $4,917 to $3,600. I appreciated that. However, I had already offered to pay $1,500 out of pocket toward the repair as a goodwill compromise, and asked them to escalate to Ford Canada for support. That request was declined, and my follow-up to both the service manager and dealership owner went unanswered for over three weeks. After years of trying to get this issue resolved — including repeated service visits and following all dealer advice — I’m left with no option but to pursue CAMVAP arbitration and Ontario consumer protection. Disappointed that such a long-standing, clearly documented issue wasn’t properly resolved under warranty or goodwill consideration.

Max is a great guy to deal with. After issues with the car a week later, he just get to the point with maintenance side of the house, getting things done quickly. I have been to this dealership a few times, and I will keep coming back. All staffs have been very helpful in all departments.

Max was great to work with. It was nice to deal with a car enthusiast, who was as knowledgable as I am on the motorsport aspect of things. I found it very easy to talk to Max too, and just straight talk trucks, engines, superchargers etc., and all good things performance relating to the truck I bought. Thanks very much Max! I love my new truck! After I purchased the truck, I needed to visit the service department for a few minor items I wanted tweaked. Scott in service looked after me, and I left with everything perfect, and I am 100% happy!. Great job guys!

My son recently purchased a truck from Barrie Ford—an expensive and important purchase for him. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling like he was taken advantage of. More than $2,000 in extras were added to his bill—none of which he requested. When we questioned the charges, the dealership claimed it was a mistake. But instead of promptly removing them, they left the charges in place and tried to justify them as “worth the money.” My son would rather believe this obvious sales pitch than advocate for himself which would require him to acknowledge that he had been taken advantage of. Although he is an adult, he has a naïveté about him which has, in the past, rendered him susceptible to abuse. Whether intentional or not, this kind of behaviour from Barrie Ford erodes trust and reflects poorly on a business that should be focused on transparency and integrity—especially when dealing with major financial decisions and an obviously vulnerable customer. If it truly was a mistake, it should have been corrected immediately—no pressure, no persuasion. My son should not have even been told about it let alone be left with the bill. This is why I believe it was not a simple mistake. I hope Barrie Ford takes this seriously and works to ensure fair treatment for all customers, regardless of personal characteristics.
