My purchase went smoothly. However, I have had my car 2 weeks and have a check engine light. They can’t get me in for 2 more weeks! Very disappointing

Absolutely amazing in EVERY capacity! Because of physical injuries I was limited to a sales career. I sold cars for year’s. It was the only way I could make a living. I NEVER enjoyed the pressure I was trained to apply to our customers from the time they entered our lot. I absolutely could not stand it. So, imagine my surprise when I entered the Car Max facility (in Tyler Texas), I expected the same treatment. However, I was allowed to shop freely with my young daughter until we found a vehicle she was interested in. We entered the dealership and met your manager Henry who greeted us with wonderful and genuine kindness. And our buying experience began. Henry assigned Salesperson Jesse Adkins, to assist us with our purchase. I could write for days about the remarkable courtesy and attention we received from your staff. Jesse and Henry were extremely patient with us and shared their concern as I expressed this would be my little girl’s first vehicle. We were unable to complete the paperwork the first night we arrived because my daughter was still deciding between a couple of different vehicles. She (we) were not rushed at all. We made a appointment to follow up the following day. Jesse, our salesperson was in another appointment, which we totally understood. I decided to take my daughter to eat and your Sales Manager Kenneth, even paid for our lunch. After returning, with Jesse’s help we completed our purchase. Unfortunately, shortly after leaving the dealership we experienced a mechanical issue. Henry and Kenneth immediately put us in a loaner and had our vehicle repaired very quickly. In the three weeks we have owned the vehicle we have had a few minor issues but Henry and Zander (your Service Manager in Tyler) have been so kind and quick to respond. Two other people who helped us along the way that I want to thank and acknowledge is Carlos and Marcos (sp?). They both were there to support their team in helping my daughter Meredith and I along the way. In closing, I want to include that my young daughter (Meredith) whom the car is for, suffers from a terminal illness known as cystic fibrosis. I share this because I wanted to make this experience so special for her. So, during the delivery process, Henry, Jesse and fellow staff made a huge deal when she walked out of the dealership to get her car. Even recording the delivery! I want Car Max to know I will forever be a walking billboard for your company, always. I have already shared our memorable experience with most everyone I know and I will continue to do so from here on. My credit was ruined due to circumstances beyond my control. Yet, you guy’s gave an opportunity for me to provide transportation to my daughter. For that I will be FOREVER grateful! Please promote all of these individuals I have mentioned.

Everything was wonderful, until the check was written. Then, calls to get a simple question answered were ignored. Disappointing end to what started out as a very positive experience.

This was the most stress free experience I've ever had with buying a car. Everything was easy sailing and the costumer service was excellent. I would recommend CarMax to anyone looking to purchase a car.
