I’m used to being cautious.

I’m used to being cautious. Here I relaxed. They let me check everything without tricks. The Ford Escape turned out to be in good shape despite its age. More honest than many others.

They took my old Jeep as a trade-in.

They took my old Jeep as a trade-in. Not the best value, but convenient. Bought a Honda Pilot from them. You can tell it had proper pre-sale detailing. Engine runs quietly, transmission is smooth. That’s what matters.

I asked them to start the car cold without warming it up.

I asked them to start the car cold without warming it up. No problem. I listened to the chain and belt, watched the exhaust, then we plugged in OBD. No critical errors. Minor things were mentioned right away, no pretending it was normal.

Negotiation was reasonable.

Negotiation was reasonable. No circus with “today only.” I pointed out a few things like chips, tires, brakes, and we agreed on a fair price. When a seller listens to arguments instead of acting, buying is easier.

We needed something reliable and tough.

We needed something reliable and tough. Bought a 2018 Toyota Corolla with 61k miles. The manager was calm, didn’t pressure us, showed everything. My wife drives it now and feels comfortable and relaxed.

I wasn’t planning to change cars, but one caught my eye.

I wasn’t planning to change cars, but one caught my eye. We drove it, checked it out, and I realized it was mine. Unplanned, but no regrets.

They told me upfront about a paint issue on the fender

They told me upfront about a paint issue on the fender arch. It was visible in the photos too. Big plus for honesty. Mechanically everything was great. Nothing hidden, full test drive. I bought it because surprises later are worse. Here everything was on the table.

Paperwork was clean.

Paperwork was clean. No shady add-ons, no mandatory packages. Payments and taxes were explained clearly so nothing comes back later. I left calm, not drained. That’s also a sign.

After multiple calls , texts and emails still couldn’t

After multiple calls , texts and emails still couldn’t get an “ honest “ price. The internet price is a lure to hook you. There are multiple dealership “ fees” and a requirement to use their financing or pay extra! I was in shock when it was revealed to me there would be a price penalty for paying cash! The vehicles also have carfaxs BUT you need to look closely at them to catch flaws that potentially could lead to expenses and decreased resell value. The people I interacted with were affable and pretty open about the fees ( they were open when pressed on the issue ). Just be aware that the advertised price IS NOT the out the door price ( of course excluding tax & title). Good luck !!

Mazda 6, bought it in October.

Mazda 6, bought it in October. So far everything is good. At purchase it had three owners and a clean history. Small bumper scratches, nothing serious. I’ve driven 2,000 miles and not a single extra noise. Happy with it.
