Oakes Auto is proud to welcome Oakes Kia to the family! Located in North Kansas City Oakes Kia offers new Kias and our same quality used inventory and we can handle all your service needs.

Oakes Auto started as an independent car dealership in the Kansas City area. Oakes Auto was founded in 2010 with the belief that all people deserve to be treated with respect and kindness when purchasing a vehicle. In June 2018 we purchased Olathe Mitsubishi and relocated the dealership to our location in Kansas City Kansas. In December 2018 we added Kia to our family of brands after acquring Jack Miller Kia in North Kansas City Missouri.

Sales staff assured me that the price listed was the

Sales staff assured me that the price listed was the absolute lowest. However, the total was $12,131.00, I asked if they could make it a flat $12,000. Sales staff agreed. So. Was supposed to have been detailed and was given 2 days to do that. It never happened. Took the car back to be detailed and to have a noise investigated. Was assured the noise was nothing and again the detail read nit performed. Despite these hiccups, I would recommend them. They were mostly low pressure sales.

Lack of communication, and return of phone calls.

Lack of communication, and return of phone calls. Service was terrible. I submitted a laundry list of issues which only one was addressed. My wheel lug key was lost on my last visit so my tires did not get rotated. Did they bother to call me and ask where the key might be? No I cancelled my service contract and my extended warranty with them. Good ridance Oaks Kia North.

Very friendly and knowledgeable.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Could do with some wall repairs and paint. The finance department was great, however the turnaround time waiting for them to be ready for us was excruciating.

Very POOR follow up.

I confirmed the availability of a vehicle the night

I confirmed the availability of a vehicle the night before and arranged transportation to travel nearly two hours to this dealership specifically to test drive and purchase that car. As a mother, coordinating kids and transportation for a trip that far is not a small effort. After arriving, I test drove the vehicle and decided to move forward with purchasing it. I completed a credit application and authorized a hard credit inquiry while the finance department processed the deal. During my visit another customer asked my salesperson about the vehicle and was told it was not available because I was looking at it unless I decided not to purchase it. Based on that, I believed the vehicle was effectively pending while financing was being finalized. Because the financing process was taking a while and I had young children with me (3/2yrs), I briefly stepped away to get them food while the application was being processed, calling to check back in as well. When I returned shortly afterward to finalize the purchase, I was informed the vehicle had been sold to another customer. After traveling nearly two hours and authorizing a hard credit inquiry because I believed the purchase was pending, this experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I would not have agreed to a hard credit inquiry if I had known the vehicle was still available to other buyers while my financing application was being processed. Future buyers may want to make sure a vehicle is actually secured before allowing a credit inquiry or stepping away during the process. * The sales manager has said they will try to make the situation right. I will update this review if they do, for future customers.
