This review is specifically about Evan Fleming at Shea
This review is specifically about Evan Fleming at Shea Buick GMC / Shea Mega Lot in Flint. I was helping my son with his first vehicle purchase. My role was simple: keep the process documented, ask reasonable questions, and make sure the transaction was handled professionally. That should not have been a problem. Instead, Evan turned it into one. From the beginning, I asked for clear, documented communication. That did not happen. Rather than answer questions directly and keep the process professional, Evan chose to communicate around me, text my son separately, and treat basic due diligence like some kind of personal offense. The screenshots speak for themselves. Evan texted my son: “So are you guys buying from me or Tim? I respectfully need to know who is wasting their time here.” Then he escalated further: “Brother, do you not understand how ridiculous it is to make me do all this work for you and then have you switch up on me?” And then this: “Since he won’t answer my texts, tell your dad it’s extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to go about this the way he did.” Read that again. A salesperson at a dealership thought it was appropriate to text a first-time buyer, call the buyer’s father “unprofessional,” complain about “doing all this work,” and frame the customer as the problem because the customer chose to work with someone else. That is not professionalism. That is not customer service. That is not how serious salespeople behave. A competent salesperson answers questions, follows instructions, respects the buying process, and earns the deal. Evan did the opposite. He made the transaction about his feelings, his frustration, and his commission. Instead of acting like a professional, he acted like an offended middleman who resented being held accountable. What makes this worse is that my son was a first-time buyer. This was supposed to be a learning experience in how to handle business correctly. Instead, Evan used casual language like “brother” and “bro,” bypassed the structure we were trying to maintain, and then lashed out when the sale moved away from him. That is a major red flag. If a salesperson cannot handle a basic used-car transaction without texting emotionally charged messages to a young buyer, accusing the customer of “wasting time,” and calling a parent “unprofessional” for selecting a different representative, then that salesperson should not be dealing directly with the public. This is not a misunderstanding. This is not “communication style.” This is poor judgment, weak professionalism, and completely unacceptable conduct. If you are a parent helping your son or daughter buy a car, or if you are any buyer who expects direct answers and respectful treatment, be careful who you deal with here. Based on my experience, I would not recommend working with Evan Fleming.

I wanted to take a moment to commend Howard and his team
I wanted to take a moment to commend Howard and his team for their outstanding customer service. The entire experience was smooth and efficient — the waiting time was minimal, I was provided a ride home, and I received both a text and a phone call when my vehicle was ready for pickup. Howard is an exceptional manager, and it truly shows in the way his team operates. Thank you for having such an amazing service staff who make every visit a positive one.

I appreciated Howard's kindness and Jon Paris' help with
I appreciated Howard's kindness and Jon Paris' help with using a loaner car, but my car was not fixed. I brought it in because my check engine light was on (repairs were made to a valve). I wasn't even 5 miles away and my light came back on. I brought my car back in which they kept overnight. When I picked up my car the next day, there was no paperwork saying what they had done, I was told they went in and "tuned some things up." A day later my check engine light came back on. I spent quite a bit of money on this and am still having issues. I will not be using the service department at Shea again. I will go to Jon Paris for a new vehicle, but that's the only reason I will be at your dealership.
