I honestly don’t know how a dealership can make buying a vehicle this unnecessarily difficult, but this dealership managed to do exactly that. I had an appointment to look at a specific vehicle. You would think the vehicle would be ready when I arrived, but it wasn’t. I spent an excessive amount of time waiting and dealing with unnecessary back-and-forth just to get to the point of test-driving it. What concerns me most is that I was allowed to test-drive a vehicle that the dealership later told me needed brakes before it could be delivered/certified. How does a dealership allow a customer—and my service dog—to get into and drive a vehicle that apparently wasn’t ready or safe to be driven? That’s not simply poor organization; that’s a serious safety concern. Once we started discussing the purchase, I repeatedly asked for two simple numbers: what would you give me for my trade-in and what was the price of the vehicle? Instead, there was endless discussion about monthly payments when that wasn’t what I was asking for. Then came the trade-in appraisal. This same dealership had previously serviced my truck. In December, they physically replaced the front brakes and specifically told me the rear brakes were good. Then in April, I brought the truck in for inspection and was told the rear brakes were so bad that they would not let me leave with my own truck. Then, during the trade-in appraisal, I was told they could only give me a certain amount because my truck needed brakes. I have a very serious question: How can the dealership replace my front brakes, tell me the rear brakes are good, and then months later tell me the rear brakes are so bad I can’t drive away—only to then use the condition of those brakes against me when valuing my trade? I was understandably frustrated and questioned this. The salesperson then asked if I wanted the vehicle that day. I said yes. More than four hours later, I was finally told that the vehicle wasn’t actually ready and still needed brakes and certification for CarBravo. I had my service dog with me through this entire ordeal. We agreed I would return the following day to pick it up. I drove an hour back to the dealership, only to wait approximately 20 minutes before someone from finance came over confused about why I was there. I was then told the vehicle wasn’t ready and apparently was never supposed to be ready. I had to explain three times how the salesperson and I had arranged the pickup. At that point, I walked out, told them how unprofessional this was, and said I wasn’t sure I even wanted the vehicle anymore. A manager called the next day. Unfortunately, that conversation made things worse. She sounded annoyed and irritated with me almost from the beginning and treated my concerns as though they were an inconvenience. When I explained the history of the brakes and the amount I had been quoted for my trade, I felt as though I was being treated like I was lying. I specifically told her I had initialed paperwork showing the trade-in amount, yet I was essentially told they could only do another $500. Despite all of this, we eventually agreed on a price and the vehicle was delivered to my home. Then the screen needed to be replaced. About a week later, the brakes on the vehicle began squealing when coming to a slow stop. I contacted the salesperson and sent a picture showing the vehicle reporting approximately 72% brake life remaining, explaining that there was no reasonable way I had used nearly 30% of the brakes in one week. I recently returned to the dealership for the replacement screen and to address the brake concern. They replaced the screen. They said nothing about the brakes. After everything that had already happened surrounding brakes, I find that completely unacceptable. The biggest problem isn’t that one thing went wrong. Things happen. The problem is the pattern: poor communication, lack of organization, conflicting information, wasted time, dismissive management, & lack of follow.

My first experience was great. My most recent experience was not. I had a check in my hand ready to purchase a vehicle and I had to wait 2 hours to get paperwork signed even with notice of when I would be in the building. ALSO I had been texting with an employee to fix an issue after having the car for only 2 weeks. We set up an appointment and when I showed up for the appointment I was sent away and told it was never scheduled. I had already made arrangements to get a ride as I had to drop off my car for diagnosis. I am not happy and will not be returning. Thanks but no thanks.

5 star rating. Very easy to deal with. No high pressure. They were able to locate the car I wanted in the color I wanted without a problem. I would definitely go back.

Usually a good experience. But on my last visit they forgot to push the dipstick all the way down and oil squirted out the dipstick tube and onto the engine and other places. Also forget to fill the windshield fluid

I brought my diesel truck to mohawk Chevrolet on April 27th because the check engine light came on. I was told it was a bad particulate sensor. The truck was driving fine even with the check engine light on. The dealership took the truck apart to replace the particulate sensor then informed me they were unable to remove the sensor and would now need to replace the entire DEF system. On April 28th. I was told the DEF system would be ordered and that the truck should be repaired by April 30th. I made it very clear in the beginning that I rely on this truck to haul my horses and that being without It would create serious hardship. Despite that, communication has been poor and timelines kept changing. As of May 14th I still have no truck and no part. While they did offer me a rental car, that does not replace the function of a diesel truck capable of towing my horses and equipment. What has been most frustrating is that I brought the truck to Mohawk because I believed they were reputable and trustworthy. Instead a repair that started as a sensor issue has turned into weeks without my vehicle and no clear resolution. I understand parts delays can happen, but the lack of urgency and communication, and practical customer support has been extremely disappointing, especially when customers depend on these vehicles for a essential responsibility like transporting animals. At this point I cannot recommend the dealership based on my experience.
