Drove over an hour for an Explorer ST when I got there found out it was a buyback, luckily they had a few other ST models that were not buyback. Peter K was very helpful in finding the right vehicle for me. Look at the carfax report to make sure you know the history behind the vehicle. Definitely recommend to see Peter K. at Huntley Ford.

Bait and switch is what they do best! I would stay far away from this shady dealership!! We drove two hours to come look at a car there and it was a complete joke!! More shady dealer fees than I have ever seen before! Stay away! Unless you like to be taken advantage of!
Tommy was great during my buying experience at Schaumburg Ford. My wife and I traveled 5 hours to get to the dealership and he made sure we got comfortable before beginning the buy/selling process. Bait and Switch practices. Beware
Warning, Read all the reviews on Facebook, yelp and here before even calling them. We called and they could not give us a negotiated price so we could bring a check from our bank to pay the internet price. They lure you to the sales floor and then reveal the internet price is only if you finance with their sources at rates up to 15.9%. They add many “non-negotiable” fees such as $349 for nitrogen in tires, $4599 for interior and exterior protection. The price went to $20,000 over the internet price after all the fees and that did not include the financing charges that they don’t disclose.

You need to change your website to clearly state next to the price that these are not the true selling price, they are only good if you finance the vehicle with your approved finance sources. You will need to be transparent with your on-line customers or out of town people who are trying to get information before coming to your showroom and having a bait and switch run-around that your whole sales team is involved in promoting that includes “non-negotiable” fees of interior and exterior protection of $4,500, nitrogen in tires of $349, dealer prep and delivery of used vehicles of over $1,500 and that doesn’t include the finance charges and profit to the truck. Stop compromising the ethics and values of your own employees by making them submit to such a deceptive sales process. You gaslighted us as if we were at fault for not asking if the internet price was an actual selling price or if it was only for people who financed with you. You took advantage of every opportunity to exploit us for driving 6 hours to purchase a vehicle thinking we wouldn’t pass on the deal when we discovered it would be $20,000 over the actual internet price. Only upon leaving did you decide to negotiate but by that time we knew we couldn’t do business with such an organization that was this deceptive and untrustworthy. You were not credible, reliable or safe to do business with and I was sad to see so many employees being subjected to such an entrenched process of deceptive selling. Please change for the sake of those who work for you so they don’t learn such intolerable behavior that is unacceptable in most business practices.
**Update one year later
**Update one year later #VeteransDay2022** After our horrible experience with Huntley Ford dealership in Huntley Illinois, last Veteran’s Day, I never received any phone calls or follow up from their leadership. Although the Manager and Salesman use deceptive tactics to lure us into traveling from North Carolina to their dealership. We got to our appointment early, only to find the vehicle I came to purchase was sold, even though it was sitting outside the dealership when we arrived for our appointment. I never gave up on my quest to get my Lincoln Aviator. So, after further research, I custom order my AWD Lincoln Aviator 2022 from Nick Mayer Ford in Westlake Ohio. Nick Mayer Ford, was very transparent with prices, expectations and the process was hassle free no deceptive tactics. One more thing, we picked up our 2022 Lincoln Aviator in February 2022. On November 1, 2022, I received a call from Nick Mayer Ford manager asking to buy back my AWD Lincoln Aviator because of the demand, as well as assist me in getting a newer model. Oh, yes did I mention Prices and Fees upfront immediately! If you want perspective customers to return to the establishment, treat them with honesty, respect and like you want them come back to the establishment. Lastly, Veteran’s Should patronize veteran friendly companies!
The exact deal I asked for. Fair is fair for all.
Let me start by saying I did a lot of research and went to a lot of dealerships for months before stopping at Huntley. I have been looking for a new Raptor all year. I went in to look at a used Raptor because they had 7 of them and new ones are usually unreasonably priced at $12-20K over sticker everywhere. This simply is NOT fair! I went inside and waited about 15 minutes for a salesman. Joe greeted me and we went to his desk. I told him what I was looking for and he suggested a new Raptor. He told me a customer had ordered one and that financing fell through and showed me on his computer that it would arrive in 8 days. I told him that was great but I wasn't willing to pay close to the $21K over sticker that they were asking and suggested that we just look at the used ones. Well, 3 of the used ones I was looking at had less than 4K miles on them so they were close to new prices anyway. I told him my bottom dollar and that I refused to pay a dollar more as I was waiting in line at another dealership on a Raptor I ordered to come in. "If you can match their price I'll buy from you today." This way it wasn't my exact color and spec truck, but I'm not waiting more than 8 days to get it either. I had a trade in that already had a written cash and trade in value appraisal from Carmax and refused to take a dollar less. I was prefinanced through my credit union at a great rate and through my Chase branch as well. After about 3 hrs of back and forth everything was matched up with their competition and they even gave me a 1 point lower rate from Chase through them so they'd get the kickback. It is a business they need to make money too, I get that and its not unreasonable. Plus it helped me get a matching deal on that Raptor. I went in 8 days later to get my Truck without my trade in. You see, a 230lb Buck had totalled my Challenger/trade in that I had already promised to them just a few days earlier. I had a check to replace the trade value but understand they wanted the trade to resell and make a few bucks. This problem was discussed for about 20-30 mins between me, Joe, and the Mgr. We came to a fair agreement and the deal was once again good. I don't have anything negative to say about these guys at all. 1) I got a hard to find brand new Raptor. 2) I was treated well. 3) I got the deal that I asked for across the board. 4) I was offered their loan at 1 point better from 1 of the same banks. 5) They honored the deal even after I totalled my trade. I would like to see the buying process speed up. 3 hrs was a bit tiring and stressful to deal with. However, I will recommend them to family and friends.
