If you value your time and expect businesses to honor their word, stay far away from Sterling Exotics. I had an incredibly unprofessional and unethical experience dealing with Tina Grossman and sales manager James Walker. After intense, rapid communication over the course of 24 hours, Tina and I agreed on a price, she sent a purchase order, took my registration, and requested my credit card info for a deposit, which I supplied right away. She also helped set up a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) for Monday. All of this was locked in on a Friday. On Monday, she called me to tell me that they sold the car to someone else, Tina said because that buyer skipped the PPI. I might have skipped the PPI, but she never gave me that option. Worse, management (James Walker) tried to justify it by saying they never officially charged my card. I gave them my card info within 15 minutes of them asking—Tina simply sat on it and failed to process it. Getting a buyer's deposit info, failing to run it, and then using your own administrative negligence as an excuse to sell the car to someone else is incredibly shady. Two different people, two different excuses, zero accountability. Completely unprofessional.

As a new client, I so far have complete confidence with their service department. However, it does seem to be most difficult to test drive a vehicle. I had to purchase one out-of-state to do my own test drive.

I stopped in to test drive a GT4, one of the few dealerships around that would even allow me to test drive. At the end of the test drive, they gave me a tour of the facility. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the brands, and they took into consideration my preference, I ended up talking to the McLaren rep (Zeb) about a McLaren. Went in for a GT4, let a McLaren fan and now they are helping me source one. Solid dealership all around.

Don't walk, run from this dealership. I ordered a new Mclaren 4 months back and provided a good faith deposit for the order. The only document I signed was the build sheet. I reached out about a month prior to the car coming in to inform them that I couldn't take delivery and this is where things turned worse. The manager and owner refused to refund my $10k deposit as they said I signed other documents that they can't produce. Customer service has been atrocious, their responses are short and aggressive, and they are trying to hold my $10k hostage. One would expect more honesty from a high-end dealership like this.
