★☆☆☆☆ We purchased a 2021 Tesla Model 3 (VIN ending 1939) from this dealership on 24th June 2026, and this has become one of the most frustrating post-purchase experiences we've had — and it's ongoing. Within days of delivery, we noticed the right rear tire was repeatedly losing air. We simply took it in to get that one tire looked at and fixed — we had no reason to expect anything more than that. Instead, an independent inspection at Costco and Jiffy Lube (Ashburn, VA — Work Order #240, Invoice #4041) uncovered a much bigger problem with the vehicle itself: - The car was delivered with two completely different tire models installed — Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires on the driver's side (front and rear), and Michelin Extra Load (XL) tires on the passenger's side (front and rear). - The driver-side tires are rated at load index 94V, while Tesla's required specification for this vehicle is load index 98V with Extra Load (XL) construction. That's not a minor difference — it's roughly a 10-12% gap in how much weight each tire is certified to safely carry, which matters a lot on a heavier EV like this. - The driver-side tires are standard-load construction, not Extra Load like the passenger side. Extra Load tires have reinforced sidewalls built to handle higher pressure and weight — mixing standard and extra-load construction side to side means the car handles load transfer differently on each side. - The driver-side tires carry no Tesla "T" approval marking at all (Tesla-approved tires are marked T0, T1, T2, or T3), meaning they were never verified for compatibility with this vehicle's chassis and motor torque — while the passenger side tires do carry Tesla approval. - There's also a significant tread depth difference between the two sides (7/32" on the driver's side vs. 4/32" on the passenger's side), which affects rolling circumference and can interfere with how the car's per-axle traction and stability control systems read wheel speed. Given the severity of these findings — mismatched load ratings, mismatched construction, and a tread depth gap that can interfere with how the car reads wheel speed — this is a genuinely dangerous condition to drive in, affecting handling, braking, and stability at any speed. The moment we learned of these risks, we made the decision to stop driving the car entirely. Since then, we've had to rely on daily cabs or ask friends for rides just to commute to work, which is not only disrupting our routine but also creating a real financial burden on top of everything else. Here's what's made this worse: we've been trying to get this resolved for over a week now. - Our salesperson initially said he'd speak to the manager, then asked us to get an independent inspection — which we did and shared with him immediately. - After that he said, this is oil changing company. - Then says, they want to up sell tiers. - After that, he stopped responding entirely. - We've called the dealership dozens of times since last week and sent multiple detailed emails with the full inspection report attached to the sales team, the sales manager, and the service manager. - Sales people say, service people needs to deal with this and service people say this is used cars sales manager's part. - Each time, we're told someone is "busy," "on leave," or "will call back" — and no one ever does. We are not asking for anything unreasonable — simply that the dealership honor a basic expectation that a car is delivered with matched, spec-compliant tires. Our paperwork from the dealership explicitly covers any issues within 3,000 miles or 3 months of purchase, and we are well within that window on both counts. We have all documentation, timestamps, and the inspection report ready to share.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are disappointed to hear that you remain dissatisfied with your purchase experience. Since the day you purchased your vehicle, our team has remained in regular communication with you regarding your concerns. Although the vehicle passed the required New York State safety inspection prior to delivery, we understood that you were uncomfortable with the tire configuration and, as a gesture of goodwill, we repeatedly offered to replace the two tires at our dealership at no cost to you. We have explained that the replacement would need to be completed at our dealership, but the vehicle is now currently located in Virginia. Unfortunately, despite our repeated offers to perform the work, you have declined to bring the vehicle back and instead requested that we send funds or ship tires to another location. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate that request. Our goal has always been to resolve your concerns, and that offer remains available. We value every customer and remain committed to working with you to resolve the matter. We appreciate your business. – Koeppel Mazda
The car dealer, David Chin and the gentleman handling the warranty were the ultimate professionals. They were both straight forward and honest. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

Koeppel Mazda exceeded my expectations on every level! Went in for a trade-in/lease as a 1st time buyer and the experience was outstanding. Extra credit & appreciation to my sales specialist, Raul Jiminian, who was friendly, accommodating, professional and extremely helpful at every turn, from our initial meeting to the “test” drive, all without feeling pressured to make any quick decisions regarding what to consider next. If you’re interested in any kind of Mazda vehicle, go to Koeppel Mazda - they won’t let you down!
