Write a reviewWe purchased a used Nissan from this dealership in January 2025. This was a big mistake and I’m writing this to warn others not to make the same mistake we did. First let me say that Joe was a respectable salesman - we had no problem with him, but the dealership’s inspection process for used cars is deficient. We drove 2 1/2 hours to buy this car. There were some red flags that I should have heeded but we were under a time crunch to buy another car because of an insurance settlement. While driving home I noticed the wiper blades, front and back, were weathered to the point I couldn’t see clearly out the car ( it was a cold January day, very wet and snowy). Wiper blades aren’t a huge issue until you can’t see where you’re going. I contacted Vin Devers after to let them know about this (and request new wiper blades) and management refused. Come on! Fast forward to June and the weather is starting to get warmer, we find out the AC doesn’t work. $5,000 to fix it. Now it’s getting cooler and the 12v battery is bad - it is the original battery in the car. Vin Devers knew the battery was original, 4-5 years old when they put the car up for sale, they should have replaced it. I know I purchased a used car, and should have been more buyer beware, but any dealership worth anything would have caught these issues and corrected them before putting a car up for sale. If you are buying a used car, be especially wary. I will not be back to do business with this dealership.

These salesmen selling used cars think they are selling something elite!😂 This location is overpriced across the lot and not willing to negotiate. Beware when they bring out the "Vin Devers Payment Detail Sheet" as this is their main trick at hiding numbers. I shook hands and walked. Terribly dishonest salesman and backup salesman. Only Audi dealership in the country that will not negotiate car price OR extended warranty price...do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!

My old 2012 Audi wouldn’t run good and I had it towed to Vin Devers. The computer analysis read turbo problem. The technicians couldn’t get to it for a couple weeks and when they finally checked, they couldn’t find a problem. It was 17* on the day the car didn’t run great and being old car, it just may have been an ice chip or stuck valve earlier. No real cost to me the customer. How honest they are! They could have replaced something not broken and I would have paid it. Words cannot say enough for such a good dealership.

I have never felt more relaxed and confident making a car purchase before, these guys really know how to make things happen and quickly. My car salesmen listened and respected my limits with and was honest with payments and financing. He was prompt and thorough with reply’s and got right to the point all while being friendly; He also took the time to explain a few options on the car afterwards. The financing manager explained things in a way that helped you understand important stuff without making you feel stupid, I left knowing exactly where I stand with my purchase. He too was prompt, thorough and friendly. The car was WAY MORE than I could have ever asked for with a price that was fair- it’s safe to say that I am incredibly happy with my purchase. I cant think of one negative thing to say, they’re awesome.

So this is my second time buying a car from Vin Devers and From Ziad. If that doesn't say it, let me give you some insight. I'm from out of state and saw the car listing. Texted Ziad and within just few minutes he called me and told me all the details about the car. He sent me detailed picture and when I asked for more he sent me more details pictures. He also sent my on online package with all the details about the vehicle including the CarFax, service records, etc. I asked about my trade-in and he asked me for a VIN and pictures. He gave me a range that was satisfactory to me. I drove over to the dealership on Saturday, only to find him and Brian waiting. The car was waiting right there shiny and ready to be test-driven. Liked the car and they had the paperwork ready. In under two hours I was driving home with my new ride. I noticed couple tings with the car, so I texted Ziad on Sunday and he was very responsive and offered to send someone to pickup the car and even provide me with a loaner while he takes care of the issue. In short, those guys and all who work in this dealership went above and beyond. I felt at home and don't ever remember having a better car buying experience in the 20 cars I bought in my life. Thank you Ziad and Than you to all the staff in Vin Devers. I will most definitely look at your site first for my next car shopping need.

They charged me $162.00 for that. never going back

We worked with Brian, the sales manager. I had multiple conversations with the Brian to negotiate h potential trade value on my car for a 2010 Sequoia and sent photos for appraisal. We came to an agreement and traveled over 2 hours from Columbus to purchase the 2010 Sequoia, Brian the sales manager for 29 years, 100% did not disclose that the Sequoia trunk was crushed in and was in an accident!! The new tires they listed in the internet add, Were also a lie. The tires were newer, but had at least 10-15k miles in them. The pristine car they presented was 100% misleading and Brian did not even bother to apologize. He said- It's a 7 year old car, its to be expected. I suggested that stating it was accident free was a complete LIE and that Vin Devers was not trustworthy. I would suggest to have any used vehicle independently checked out prior to buying from Vin Devers. The sales person did give us a tank of gas to drive back to COLUMBUS, which was very gracious - worthy of 1 star. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I wanted to reach out and apologize for your experience and Thank you for writing your story. We strive for success with each and every guest. I personally walked to this vehicle and while you claim the vehicle was in an accident the CarFax doesn't state so nor does the tail gate as you have claimed. Yes, as you get close to the tail gate you can see the dents that you point out above but the statement that it was "Crushed" is inaccurate and I will hold on to the photos of this vehicle to show anyone who reads this ... The tires on the other hand, you are correct are not New, they do have a few thousand miles on them and my team quickly removed that statement. There is not a drop down for Newer tires only New tires and I apologize for having our system read that way. Brian could see that from his phone conversation a day or two before, which was all about the sale price and nothing to do with the condition of the vehicle you were getting upset which is why he offered to fill you tank up for the inconvenience. Vin Devers Autohaus has been in business for over 60 years and Brian Lavoy has been with us for 28 years. We will use this as an opportunity to help coach our team and we do apologize for the communication that was received. Again Thank you for sharing your story, we are always trying to get better and as stated we will use this to get better. You can reach me direct 419-824-2330 or [email protected] Jason Perry General Manager Vin Devers Autohaus
So from my initial inquiry it was an unpleasant experience but I really wanted the vehicle due to the rarity of both the vehicle and color combination-so I held out hope. I also thought that even though I was purchasing a pre-owned luxury vehicle I was purchasing from a new Audi & Mercedes-Benz dealership so there was no way that the vehicle would be in absolute horrible shape as a trade-in or else it would have been sent to auction. I could have not been more incorrect. Had initially asked a litany of questions during my inquiry and throughout the sales process the answers were never provided. These questions included but were not limited to if the vehicle had any rust (it did but was never disclosed to me), if the leather had any tears or burns (there are several that were also never disclosed), and if there was any significant other interior or exterior damage (the front bumper cover is cracked). During negotiation the gentleman whom I dealt with was not overtly friendly and due to this I attempted to deal exclusively with the Sales Manager due to a lack of responsiveness-he ultimately snapped at me when I told him I was trying to deal with the Sales Manager directly and they never stepped in to assist. I flew in from Washington DC and I would have to say the only highlight of the purchase was the porter that was sent to pick me up from the airport and drove me back to the dealership. He was a young and jovial man eager to learn and I had a pleasant conversation with him during my ride. Upon arrival at the dealership Harry had the pleasantness associated with a sale and was strangely friendly. He did not however offer to show the vehicle to me in person before quickly asking for the balance of payment (I paid cash for the vehicle after a four figure deposit via my AMEX) and then shooing me off to the finance office. Would have to say having purchased luxury cars from dealerships all over the country that dealing with Ms. Russell was the absolute worst experience I have ever encountered. She was curt and rude and did not offer a smile the whole time I was in her office. There was no "thank you" ever said or any offer to follow-up with problems/questions given the fact I had just paid cash for a vehicle and was not leaving with title and lived 500+ miles away. I proceeded to hop in the vehicle and was met with a near empty tank with the gas light on and another dash light. Getting on the highway I was greeted with the fact that the vehicle needed suspension work which met for a not so enjoyable "long" test drive back to DC. If I could give this dealership less than "1" star I would. I have purchased luxury cars from dealerships throughout the country and can honestly say that this was my absolute worst experience and vehicle purchase. I honestly do not know how this dealership stays in business. The car I purchased from them is presently parked in my driveway undriveable.

Mr. Bruner, Thank you and I appreciate your candid review of Vin Devers Autohaus and I apologize for you having a challenged experience with our Dealership. But I have to say the vehicle had 215,000 miles on it when you purchased it. While I understand the vehicle is new to you, it is a 2007 with 215,000 miles. We always recommend our guests to have independent inspections and evaluations especially with a vehicle having 215,000 miles. And with a 10 year old vehicle I am sure you can understand the vehicle having or needing cosmetic work, we definitely did not represent the vehicle as being in new or like new condition. We perform a safety inspection ensuring its road worthiness but do not claim the vehicle to be free of defects and some mechanical repair work. And as you stated you had the chance to inspect the vehicle before purchasing. My team, as you claim to rush you into the office to collect payment, was merely attempting to be respectful of your time and wanting to make sure you could remain on your journey back home. At no time was anyone attempting to rush or attempt to hide any financial or vehicle damage. This is now the 5th review site that you have written these claims. We would have generously helped give you 3rd party independent repair facilities to have the vehicle inspected. Never once did you ask. My team apologizes for your experience and we will help coach our team to better help in the future.
