BEWARE!!!! Deceitful, unreliable, exceptionally poor...

BEWARE!!!! Deceitful, unreliable, exceptionally poor customer service. My experience with LA Auto Exchange was a three-day nightmare. When I submitted the form online, I was immediately contacted by multiple salespeople from the same company. One told me the car was bought at auction. The other told me that the car was a trade-in. The disparity in the stories was my first red flag. As I had to drive 50 miles to test drive the car, I pressed for details on the vehicle. I was eventually told that the vehicle has been in an accident but was assured it was likely minor. I decided to take a chance and go check out the car. I made an appointment, and the sales rep said he would prep the car for me. When they pulled the car out for the test drive, I was shocked to find that the car was filthy (not just dirty). I was so bad I could not determine anything about the paint or status of the body because of the muck on the car. As I drove off I saw the problems immediately. Warning lights about an engine malfunction, suspension stability, and brakes popped up. I took the car to my mechanic and confirmed multiple issues from the oversized tires and rims that would have to be replaced to extinguish the malfunction lights; the wrong brake sensors, a vacuum leak, and a driveshaft issue. I was still interested in the car and would need to now have the body cleaned and checked. I called to update the *third* salesman I was handed off to. He told me the car had to be brought back within two hours. I informed him that the first salesman told me it was okay to take as much time as needed, just "keep us informed." NOTE: There was no time limit in the signed agreement on how long I could have to check out the car. The return time and date were also left open on the written agreement. The third salesman was now pressuring me to bring the car right back, although I had not been able to have the body and paint checked out. By then, I had driven a hundred miles, took off the afternoon, and paid to have the car inspected and still didn't know if the accident's impact was visible behind the dirt. I told him I would bring the car back as soon as I got the body checked out. The salesperson hung up on me. The sales manager called back and said he was sending someone to pick up the car at my home, which they did. I was still interested in the car, so when a fourth salesman called me the next day and asked why I didn't buy the car, I told him I was trying to buy it and was being bounced around. The new salesman was located in the El Monte office and said he would take care of me from here. He asked me to submit an app for financing, confirmed that I was approved, and said he'd have the car delivered to his location that day. When I didn't hear from him, I called for an update. He told me he had personally picked up the car, and it was being inspected. "Why?" I asked, I had already agreed to buy the car. He said he just wanted to make sure he was selling me a sound car. This made no sense, but I went along with it. Two days later, no car. The calls and text messages from the salesman dwindled until I found myself having to call from different phones to get Jose to answer the call. I eventually found a number for the customer service manager and shared my story. He assured me that he had spoken to the manager, and they would get the sale done. He told me to call in the morning. Shortly after getting off the phone with Kenny, I received 3 calls within an hour. The first was from the salesman who said the car would be ready to pick up at 5 pm. The second was from the same salesman telling me the car was sold. The third was from a fifth salesman at another location trying to confirm an appointment for me to test drive the same car that was supposedly sold. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a car purchase. It was everything consumers hate about buying a car. I felt compelled to warn future buyers. Below the surface, this company is not trustworthy, not reliable, and unresponsive. They didn't stand behind their word or their written agreement. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!!
