Scammers

I asked for a wiper motor quote. They quoted me $300. Napa quoted me $50. Ron Tonkin quoted me $234. Couldn’t get a reason why they overprice their items? That’s a $70 markup from the dealership down the road. And a 500% markup on the regular part itself. I don’t know how Steve sleeps at night. I wonder where he takes his car to. 🤔 smh #scammers #worsethandrugdealers #cantkeeppromise #greshamdodge #stevedoesntcare #dontcallsteve

We're glad we could install the aftermarket part you provided us when you came in a few weeks ago, as it was a lot more cost effective for you. When you were here, we did go over the difference between genuine factory engineered parts compared to aftermarket parts. I'm sorry that the part you bought failed. If you would like to buy a genuine part that comes with a warranty for peace of mind, please don't hesitate to schedule another appointment or reach out to me directly at joe@dodgeofgresham.com or 503-666-2277. - Joe Leavitt, GM

Wonderful Experience

I had an amazing experience at Gresham Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. I was in and out in no time. I felt like the service team really cared about my vehicle. I plan to return here every time for service.

Fused #4 injector

2006 Jeep Liberty CRD 4x; #4 injector was leaking and was fused, they said they'd have to remove the engine for an upwards of 6 to 7thousand dollars to remove the injector. They offered me a $1,000 for my jeep (137,000 Miles) as a trade in on a new vehicle. I declined their services and found a local mechanic Millers Auto Repair in Lebanon and with a little ingenuity MAR removed the injector, replaced it and only charged me $320.00. MAR also informed me that Greshams diesel mechanic couldn't remove the injector and took it upon himself to ADD an O ring to the one he couldn't remove ( I was not informed he had done this) which made the leak worse. Sheisters! If you need a diesel mechanic for your vehicle, Get on over to Millers Auto Repair, Lebanon and tell 'em Vickie sent you.

Vickie, I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience at the dealership. If you would like to discuss what happened so we can improve business practices in the future, I would greatly appreciate it. You can contact me at steveb@dodgeofgresham.com or 503-907-1271. - Steve Becker, Service Manager

Dealer response

Vickie, I made sure to look into your appointment and you had an injector frozen/seized in the head. We advised you of what was needed to repair, including worse case scenario if we were not able to extract it. Not knowing if it could be removed or if your vehicle would need a new engine is what the trade value was based off. At that point it is a risk. We're happy the other shop was able to extract it and there was no major damage, but please feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to discuss anything further steveb@dodgeofgresham.com or 503-907-1271. - Steve Becker, Service Manager

No longer Disapointed NOW!!!

I was not happy as you can see below!!! But these guys stepped up to the plate and educated themselves and took care of us!!! We will be back! They appear to be a cut above the rest. So I sent this email to the management 9/8/17 and have had NO response .... we paid hundreds of dollars for the NW package, for half a job..... Gentlemen, Mine and my wife's disappointment stems from what I guess boils down to lack of communication and or lack of product knowledge for your staff.... We purchased a 2011 Jeep Wrangler 2dr on 6/29/17 and we could not be more pleased with the vehicle or the sale experience. Where we feel the ball was dropped on your end is the push for the Northwest Package. Our jeep is a soft top...no one told us or even new why the soft top was not addressed with the Northwest Package, when I called and spoke with Joshua about this he said, "he had know idea and would have to find out". Which he did and called me back and told me that your product would leave streaks in the top. Well this might be a good answer if this was our 1st Jeep. If you were to go to "Bestop.com" you would find products just for cleaning and preserving jeep soft tops. After all you ARE a JEEP DEALERSHIP. We paid full price for half a job....some how that does not seam right. If your product is not the right one, maybe you should add the correct product to your service, so the job is completed as advertised or marketed. Seams like the right thing to me....but I've only been self-employed for 30plus years what would I know about customer service. Maybe another point of distention is it took eight weeks to get this package done... I called 2x checking on scheduling, we were told a couple weeks at the time of purchase. So then to get it back half done.... It will be interesting waiting for your reply, to find out if you are just another used car dealer that does not care or if you will actually be one that is a cut about the rest. So now 10/04/17 and no response....

Only dealership that listened to what I wanted.

I contacted 5 or 6 dealerships to have all but one try and sell a truck I didn't want.. when the sales lady at Gresham Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, sent me pictures of what I was looking for, and had asked other dealerships ignore my request for the rig I was looking for. 2017 Power Wagon.

I would have enjoyed a colonoscopy more

I usually pay close attention to reviews, but decided to give Gresham Dodge a chance despite the less-than-attractive rating I saw posted online. What. A. Mistake. Turns out, paying attention to reviews is a wise idea when one is about to make a $30K+ purchase. Almost everything that could have gone wrong with this place did. It was a comedy of errors. Things went so sitcom-worthy-badly that it would have been funny had it not involved me personally. Or a purchase of a new vehicle. But it did, and I deeply regret having any involvement with Gresham Dodge. In fairness, I gave the place multiple opportunities to fix the problems I had. And even then, when they failed miserably to follow-through on their half-hearted promises to fix their own mistakes, I avoided posting a bad review. Because negativity sucks and there is already too much of it online. But ultimately, I decided that I needed to post something as a public service to my fellow Oregonians or any out-of-staters who decide to add to our state's GDP (thanks, BTW!). A car purchase is a huge deal, and there are lots of options out there. Please don't pick this one. And if you - like me - choose to disregard these reviews or write them off as angry-will-never-be-happy-about-anything-miserable-internet-trolls like I did, well, buckle-up because you're about to risk the twilight-zone of bad car purchasing experiences. I won't rehash specifics, but here's a brief overview: 1) the first salesperson I spoke to unapologetically lied to me like I was at some used car shop named something like Barry's Cherry's in some sketchy neighborhood, rather than an actual dealership, 2) the second sales person told me the first salesperson isn't trustworthy and often misstates the truth, 3) they promised a few things related to my new vehicle, didn't do the things promised, and the apology consisted of "sorry, but we got busy," which is interesting because they never looked all-that-busy during the many unnecessary hours I spent there and they had plenty of time to smoke and talk about colleagues and male anatomy, 4) I would not trust any of the sales people to be alone in a car with a woman based on what I witnessed while waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, 5) their managerial staff lack basic customer-service skills or the ability to address concerns, 6) I had to return to this forsaken location multiple times because of paperwork errors made by the Gresham sales/financing staff. All-in-all, I easily sunk 10 hours of wasted time into repeat trips and waiting at their facility. This whine list doesn't come close to capturing the agony and frustration I felt, mixed with deep regret, like the time I thought it would be a good idea to eat three Big Mac's and a large fry at 11:30 p.m. after a 10 mile run. Only imagine those Big Mac's cost me more than a trailer home in Montana and that comes close to how I felt. I tried to remedy these problems by working directly with the staff at Gresham Dodge. I am a reasonable, normally-easy-going person. I dislike complaining. I am an advocate for people needing to have thick skins. But my experience crossed a threshold that I felt was unacceptable, and imposed an obligation of disclosure to my fellow community members. Had Gresham Dodge done the bare minimum of correcting any of the multiple wrongs that occurred, I would have justified myself in forgoing a review. But they failed spectacularly. So, while Gresham Dodge did not remedy its many wrongs related to my transaction, I will feel some peace knowing that my experience may help a neighbor avoid their own carmageddon (trademark me, 2017). Buying a new car should be a fun, exciting experience. Not being chased by a great-white-shark exciting, but driving off the lot with a car you love and at a fair price exciting. I hope your excitement is more like the latter kind.

Great service department!

My husband took his 2002 Dodge Dakota in to get his pcm reset. He called over 5 different dealerships and Gresham Dodge knew exactly what he needed- they listened to what he the issue was and took the time to fit us in the schedule. No nonsense or bs- super professional and impressive customer service! Well worth the hour drive. Definitely would recommend!

Wonderful!

I got such great service! The dealer that worked with me was very knowledgeable and kind. He sat with us and talked while the numbers and paper work was happening. He let us know everything about the car and answered all the questions we had about the car. Friendly service and no pressure. Great place !

Service department is horrible

Worst service I have ever received. Was in over a month ago they were supposed to order parts and call me and never did. Dropped car off to have the service completed said I would get a call that day and did not. Called the next day to be placed on hold for 20 minutes and being sent to voicemail after ten minutes each time to call back and leave a message with another person. Finally get a call back to hear they had not looked at my car yet and would get a call when the tech came back from lunch. Three hours later still no call. I'm not even expecting my car to get done that soon but not getting calls and being updated when they say they will is the opposite of what a "service" department should offer. Go elsewhere if you expect service
