I thought I would be treated fairly after I paid full asking price and didn’t haggle them down. I didn’t negotiate or ask for any discounts. My only request was that they provide the jack and tire-changing tools. Before signing anything, the dealership agreed to buy them from eBay and have it shipped to me. Excuse after excuse, they ended up saying I could come pick it up from them, or pay them to have it shipped to me. I would have just asked for the value of the tools off the car and ordered it myself if I knew they wouldn’t keep their word. I should have known something was off when they ran my credit. I made sure they would only run it once and as I sat there, I got alerts for EIGHT! hard inquiries from my credit monitoring service. At the signing, when they told me they could mail my registration to me, they conveniently forgot to mention it would be a $10 charge for them to hand write an envelope and put a forever stamp on it. First off, for someone who paid full price, they can eat 60 cents as the cost of doing business, but instead they decided to scalp me. For $10 they could at least sent it certified or via FedEx. The vehicle purchase itself was straightforward, but the after-sale service has been abysmal. If you shop here, I highly recommend getting every post-sale commitment clearly documented in writing before signing. Or they’ll nickel and dime you, or straight up ghost you.
